Each year, universities, TAFE Institutes and private colleges open their
doors to the public to showcase what they can offer to future students. To
ensure you make the right decisions about what you would like to study
after school, it is essential you attend as many open days as possible.
Make a list of the institutions you would like to visit. Use the course
search facilities on VTAC - www.vtac.edu.au to explore Victorian courses
and on UAC- www.uac.edu.au to explore NSW and ACT courses.
Explore the Open Day websites for the institutions you would like to visit.
Sign up to receive email updates or join Open Day Facebook pages.
View videos of last year’s events if they are available.
Download the Open Day program from the institution website and
campus maps. Highlight which seminars and demonstrations you would
like to attend.
Open days are free, but take along some money for lunch. Take along a
note pad and pen and attend as many seminars as possible. You may be
able to visit two institutions if their Open Days fall on the same date.
