Polycom Conference Link Quick Reference Guide

Conference Link is a digital interface used to

connect Polycom equipment together to share audio

and control information. This table shows the types

of devices that may be connected together using

Conference Link.

There are different Conference Link cables and different connectors depending on the application of the cable.

The following table shows the different Conference Link cables that are available.

Part of the primary Ceiling Microphone Array package. Cross-over cable for connecting Clink between devices. Typically used between SoundStructure and the first Ceiling Microphone Array.

2200-24009-001 RJ45 male RJ45 male 25ft (7.6m) Part of the extension Ceiling Microphone Array package. Cross-over cable for connecting CLink between devices. Typically used between Ceiling Microphone Arrays. 2200-24010-001 RJ45 male RJ45 male 100ft (30.5m) Cross-over cable for connecting Clink between devices. Typically used between SoundStructure and the first

Ceiling Microphone Array.

2457-24011-001 RJ45 male RJ45 male 10ft (3m) Straight-through cable that is part of the Ceiling MicrophoneArray package. Must be used with a cross-over cable for proper operation.

Cable - Console Interconnect Cable for SoundStation IP 7000, 25ft/7.6m CLink 2 cable with Walta to Walta connectors. Connects two (2) SoundStation IP 7000 consoles together. Cross-over cable.

Cable - HDX microphone array cable, Walta to Walta connectors, 10ft/3m. Connects an HDX microphone to an HDX microphone or to SoundStation IP 7000. RealPresence Group Series microphone array cable. Connects Group Series microphone to Group Series microphone or Group Series microphone to Group Series codec. Not compatible with HDX table microphone array due to different overmold. Cross-over cable.

Dongle for connecting HDX table microphone array to SoundStructure or HDX 9000 series codec. Typically included with the HDX 9000 series video systems. Straight-thru cable.

Dongle for connecting Ceiling Microphone Array or other RJ-45 CLink 2 cable to HDX 8000/7000/6000 series codecs. Included with primary Ceiling Microphone Array. 2200-40115-001 Walta male Walta male 25ft (7.6m)

While not common, there are applications, such as room-combining, where both Conference Link ports on SoundStructure can be used to meet the length requirements to the first microphone array.

Two SoundStation IP 7000 analog expansion microphones are

Adding one or more SoundStructure devices connected over

Conference Link increases the number of mic arrays that can be

used to the limit of the SoundStructure device(s).
