How To Setup A Facebook Store From Your Existing Shopify Store Setting up a store on Facebook is easy, here’s how:
Select the Zibaba Facebook fan page store from the Shopify app store and click install to continue the process.
You will then be redirected to the Zibaba Shop Manager, within Facebook. If you’re not already logged into Facebook, once you agree to the terms of service, you will then be prompted to login to your Facebook account.
Once you are logged into Facebook, you will be prompted to allow the application. This only happens the first time that you use the Shop Manager interface.
Within the shop manager interface, you will see the name of your Shopify store appear in the Shop Manager. Click on Manage Shop to continue.
Additionally, you can upload a custom image for your store which will appear within your store and resemble the following examples.
The size of the image must be no wider than 520 pixels and we recommend that the height is no greater than 300 pixels.
The currency of your Facebook store will be automatically detected and set as the same as your Shopify store. This can be overridden from the currency dropdown menu located in the shop manager.
Select a skin from the menu. There are plenty of options. Find one that matches the look and feel of your brand.
Here are some examples of how different skins look in the published Facebook store. This is an example of the red and black skin and this is an example of the gold and black skin.
Next, click on upload catalog. Your catalog will be automatically loaded from your Shopify store. In this screen all you need to do is set the frequency of your catalog updates. Choose from monthly, weekly, daily or never.
If, for any reason, your catalog is not automatically uploaded, please click the ‘Upload Now’ Button, from inside the Publish page in the Shop Manager.
To view your store before it’s published, click on preview. You will then see a preview of your store within the Shop Manager.
There are now only two more steps left before you can publish your store catalog. These are setting up payment and shipping information. These links are located just beneath the preview button in the Shop Manager.
Once you have clicked on payment you will be able to choose whether you would like to redirect to your web store or perform checkout within Facebook. To checkout within Facebook, you must select the ‘PayPal’ option from the drop down menu. Please note that you must have a verified PayPal business account in order to receive payments via PayPal.
On this page you will also be able to setup Fan only discounts. Select from a percentage discount or a fixed cash discount. Once you have completed the information on this page, click the update button.
Next, select shipping from the sub menu. There are a number of choices that provide you with the flexibility of setting up different shipping costs for different countries. You can also, select to block or filter specific countries to ship to and add additional shipping methods.
Select update to continue and you are now ready to publish your store to your Facebook fan page.
Click on publish from the top menu.
If you don’t already have a Facebook page, you may create one by clicking on the link entitled Create New Page.
This will open a new tab entitled Create A Page within Facebook. Select Brand or Product from the choices offered on the page. Choose a category from the dropdown menu that represents your merchandise, then type in the name of your new page. Check the box agreeing to the terms of Facebook pages and click on Get Started.
Your page has now been created. You can edit the details and information in your page at any time.
