C. ROLE PLAY

Imagine the following situations. Act them out with your classmates.

1. You arrive at your hotel in London and discover that your reservation hasn’t been made. Unfortunately the hotel is full. (Tourist, hotel receptionist, hotel manager).

2.You are on a plane and the passenger in front of you is acting very strangely. You are worried that she/he might be a terrorist. (Passengers, flight attendant, pilot)

3.You are enjoying a trip to London, but a taxi driver has just charged you far too much for your ride from Piccadilly Circus to the Tower of London. (Passengers, taxi driver, police officer)

4.You are in London on holiday and you don’t know how to get to Regent’s Park, Madame Tussaud’s and the Sherlock Holmes Museum. (Tourist, tourist information clerk)

5.You are in London for a short break and you want to know what’s the cheapest way to travel round the centre of the city. (Tourist, clerk at London Transport) 6.You go to the travel agent’s to book a
