HIRE GUIDE

Hire Guide

• To hire equipment, we will require some form of positive identification – i.e. Driving Licence, Bankers Card, or if a

Company, a firm’s official order.

• A deposit – either cash or credit card.

• IT IS THE RESPONSIBILTY OF THE HIRER TO INSURE THE HIRE EQUIPMENT!

• Hire periods are quoted in the booklet.

• All transport charges are quoted on an ‘each way’ basis.

• Half day hire rates will only be applicable with hire equipment that is collected. If Altis deliver equipment, the

minimum hire is one day.

• It is essential for someone to be on site that is authorised to sign for the equipment delivered and to pay the

deposit.

• Hired equipment will continue to be charged for, until the agreement is cancelled. This can be achieved by a

phone call to our office when an OFF HIRE NUMBER should be requested to record the date and time of

conversation or when the equipment is returned to Altis.

• Fuel is not supplied. There is no guarantee that there will be a large quantity of fuel in the equipment. It is the

hirer’s responsibility to find out the type of fuel required for the equipment before using the equipment.

• It is advisable to book equipment required at least one week before it is needed.

• Any defect in hired equipment should be reported immediately, and it must not to be used again until the

customer has spoken to a member of staff at Altis.

• A cleaning charge will be made on any machine returned in an unreasonable condition. Minimum Cleaning

Charge £15.00.

• Conditions of hire are printed on the reverse of the hire agreement and should be read

.

• Safety equipment and instructions will be issued in accordance with our hire contract.

• All accessories, (Steels, Blades, Abrasives etc. and re-sharpening charges) will be charged extra to the hire cost

on a sale or return basis.

• Long term hire rates are available on some items – prices on application.

• Modes of Operation:

Where not obvious the following modes of operation are indicated within the description of the item in the

booklet:

Stand

: the equipment is free standing typically on the floor

o

Hand held or Hand Operated

: the equipment is typically held in the hand to operate it.

o

Bench or Bench Type

: the equipment needs a bench or support to operate it (not provided).

• All hire equipment marked with one star * in the Hire Price List will be supplied with consumables items on a sale

or return basis.

• All hire equipment marked with two stars ** in the Hire Price List will be subject to a blade/point re-sharpening

charge.

• All hire equipment marked with three stars *** in the Hire Price List will be supplied with consumable items on sale

only basis.

Altis offer a delivery and collection service which is calculated on

the destination of the delivery.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Whilst every effort will be made to fulfil customers’ requirements, delivery

of certain items cannot be guaranteed before 10.00am.

• Customers requiring items before this time are advised to obtain them the

previous day.

• Half day hire rates will only be applicable with hire equipment that is

collected.

• If Altis deliver and/or collect the equipment, the minimum hire period is

Hire Guide

•

To hire equipment, we will require some form of positive identification – i.e. Driving Licence, Bankers Card, or if a

Company, a firm’s official order.

•

A deposit – either cash or credit card.

•

IT IS THE RESPONSIBILTY OF THE HIRER TO INSURE THE HIRE EQUIPMENT!

•

Hire periods are quoted in the booklet.

•

All transport charges are quoted on an ‘each way’ basis.

•

Half day hire rates will only be applicable with hire equipment that is collected. If Altis deliver equipment, the

minimum hire is one day.

•

It is essential for someone to be on site that is authorised to sign for the equipment delivered and to pay the

deposit.

•

Hired equipment will continue to be charged for, until the agreement is cancelled. This can be achieved by a

phone call to our office when an OFF HIRE NUMBER should be requested to record the date and time of

conversation or when the equipment is returned to Altis.

•

Fuel is not supplied. There is no guarantee that there will be a large quantity of fuel in the equipment. It is the

hirer’s responsibility to find out the type of fuel required for the equipment before using the equipment.

•

It is advisable to book equipment required at least one week before it is needed.

•

Any defect in hired equipment should be reported immediately, and it must not to be used again until the

customer has spoken to a member of staff at Altis.

•

A cleaning charge will be made on any machine returned in an unreasonable condition. Minimum Cleaning

Charge £15.00.

•
