or the third year running, National is pleased to

present its Software Guide, to help our readers

become familiar with the technology

market-place and choose the products that best fit their needs

and resources.

We’ve introduced some changes for our 2003

edi-tion. For one thing, we’ve streamlined our

presenta-tion, keeping the details of each product down to the

fundamental, need-to-know facts: product name;

manufacturer name, phone number and Website

address; concise product description; and price. The

aim is to give you the critical information you need in

a clearer and easier format.

In addition, because the legal software market

has grown so much, we’ve broken our Guide into

two equal parts. The first part, featured this issue,

covers substantive-law related software in the areas

of real estate, family law, civil litigation, wills &

estates and corporate law. Part 2, which will

appear in our August/September edition, will

bring you information on practice-operation

soft-ware: document management, billing and

accounting, case management and legal research

programs, among others.
