The mission of Fenway Health is to enhance

the wellbeing of the lesbian, gay, bisexual

and transgender (LGBT) community and all

people in our neighborhoods and beyond,

through access to the highest quality health

care, education, research and advocacy.

Started in 1971 in a neighborhood basement as a weekly drop-in center, Fenway Health now provides comprehensive medical, behavioral health, radiology, pharmacy, dental and eye care services to more than 20,000 people who make over 100,000 patient visits a year.

We offer specialized women’s and transgender health services, LGBT parenting and alternative insemination programs, a Violence Recovery Program for LGBT survivors of hate crimes and domestic violence, community health education and HIV prevention out-reach. Our HIV Counseling, Testing and Referrals program is one of the largest of its kind in New England.

You will receive care from a medical team led by a primary care provider and a registered nurse who will take your health care as seriously as you do. We view the mind and body as one. You will find individual, group, couple, and family ther-apy; psychiatric expertise, and addiction treatment and support in a welcoming environment.

Your provider will guide a team that ensures you receive comprehensive, coordinated and compassionate service— from primary care to counseling, from complementary therapies to our on-site pharmacy. We offer dental and eye care services to both adults and children, making it easier to get all of your regular care and check-ups under one roof.

At Fenway Health…

Fenway’s staff is sensitive to each patient’s needs and

understands patients from different cultures and backgrounds. Our clinical staff includes providers fluent in Spanish and we can provide translation services in other languages.

Fenway Health was founded on the belief that health care is a right, not a privilege. Our financial assistance counselors can help enroll you in health insurance and other income-based assistance programs so that you can get the care you need.

At Fenway Health…

Radiology Services

Fenway Health has recently added a new Radiology Program at our 1340 Boylston Street location that includes x-rays, mammograms and bone density scans. Medical x-rays can help diagnose a variety of conditions including broken bones, tumors and foreign objects. A bone density test determines if you have osteoporosis—a disease that causes bones to become more fragile and more likely to break. Regular mammograms are the best method to detect breast cancer early and can lower the risk of dying from breast cancer. Talk to your medical provider about when and how often you should have a screening mammogram.

If you would like to make an appointment for any of our new Radiology Services, please speak with your Fenway Health medical provider or call us at 617.927.6000.
