Maxine Harmatta (Vice Chair)

Maxine is a retired Finance, Information Systems and Human Resource executive. She studied Art History at the University of Nebraska, obtained a Bachelor's Business from the University of New Mexico and later her CMA certification. During her professional career, Maxine led

Finance, IT, HR and Tax departments for both international and domestic manufacturing companies. Maxine's work with non-profits has included board positions with Reno Little Theater, The Nevada Opera, Art Touring, and the Utah Children's Museum.

Jeff Chamberlin (Treasurer)

Jeff is the Vice President of Operations for Granite Peak Management, a property management company at Lake Tahoe. He received his MBA from University of Nevada, Reno in 2015 and is currently studying for a Master's Degree in Strategic Foresight from the University of Houston - School of Technology. Jeff has been actively involved in theater for over 40 years. He has been involved with RLT since 2008 and currently serves as the Board Treasurer.

Moira Bengochea (Secretary)

Retired from the world of professional acting, Moira is now a full-time volunteer. She is a member of SAG/AFTRA and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.

Adriano Cabral

Adriano is currently an assistant professor of acting in the Department of Theatre and Dance at UNR. He previously taught at the University of West Georgia, Arizona State, and New School for Arts & Academics. He is also a certified assistant teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework and the Director of Technology for the Voice & Speech Trainer's Association (VASTA). In addition to his role as a board member for RLT, Adi serves as the Resident Vocal Coach.

Sherry Christopher

Sherry is a local real estate agent with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Drysdale Properties.


She holds a Masters of Science in Apparel and Textile Merchandising and is involved with the Down Syndrome Network of Northern Nevada as an active volunteer.

Kasondra Cory

Kasondra is a Financial Advisor at UBS Financial Services. She holds her Bachelors of Arts in Economics from the University of Nevada, Reno and Associate of Applied Arts in Acting from KD College of Film and Dramatic Arts.

Anthony Mendoza

Anthony is in his final year of service on RLT's Board after serving for two terms. He has acted and directed for the theater, as well as volunteered as an Usher, Box Office Rep, and

Concessions Lead. His career in radio marketing and sales made him the perfect candidate for Publicity Chair in 2014-2016. He currently works in Sales and Leasing at Bill Pearce Honda.

Nettie Oliverio

Nettie is an IT consultant. She holds a BA in Chemistry and an AAS in Computer Science. Deanna Podstawa

Deanna Podstawa is a radio personality on Alice 96.5, with the Bill Deanna, and RJ Morning Show. She moved to the west coast from New Jersey and has been in Reno since 2016. She is a graduate of Montclair State University’s Theater and Dance program and holds a B.A. in Theater Studies. She has been involved in theater both behind the scenes and on the stage since her teen years, the last three years of which have been at various theaters in Reno, including RLT.

Mike Ruepp

Michael Ruepp is a General Contractor of Ruepp Construction Inc with over a decade of experience in construction and remodeling. He has earned a business degree from Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village. He has lived in the Reno/Lake Tahoe area since 1997 and is a transplant from New Jersey. In his time away from work, he enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife and 3 year old twin girls.

Board of Directors

Jeromy Manke, President

Jeromy Manke is the President of Build Our Center, Inc., a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, which runs northern Nevada’s LGBTQ community center, Our Center. He has also served as Chair of Northern Nevada Pride, since its launch in 2014. In the past, he has volunteered for multiple LGBTQ organizations, including starting his high school’s Gay-Straight Alliance and leading the Queer Student Union at the University of Nevada Reno.

Jeromy serves on the board of the Reno-Tahoe Young Professionals Network, where he chairs the Twenty Under 40 committee that honors outstanding young professionals in the area. He was recognized as a Twenty Under 40 Award recipient in 2016.

His chosen profession is in Human Resources, where he has worked in both consulting and internal capacities for companies in varied industries. Jeromy and his husband, Brian Jensen, opened Jensen & Co. Salon in 2016.

Meredith Tanzer, Vice President

Meredith Tanzer is the Vice President of Build Our Center, Inc. She joined the board in 2011 and has served in that capacity since. She serves as the CommUNITY Pride Parade Director and Special Events Coordinator for Northern Nevada Pride.

She has been a community builder for over 20 years. Her interest with LGTBQ+ and at-risk youth began while owning a business in downtown Reno and working with youth agencies.

Meredith is the event organizer of HUD Homeless Youth Point-In-Time Count.

She sits on the Artown Board and was awarded with the Reno City Super Hero Award in 2018.

Todd Eikelberger, Secretary/Treasurer

Todd Eikelberger serves as both the Secretary and Treasuer of the Build Our Center, Inc. He joined the board in 2014 and has served in multiple capacities. He is the co-Director of the Northern Nevada Pride Administration and Logistics Committee.

Far from his only volunteer role, Todd currently serves as the Vice President of the Nevada chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union.

Todd works diligently as an attorney for the State of Nevada’s branch of Nevada Attorney for Injured Workers in Carson City, NV.

Chair: Sandy Jacob

Sandy founded and served as minister for the Centers for Spiritual Living for 17 years. In her capacity as minister she coordinated musical programs and community outreach activities. Sandy has served on the boards of the Girl Scouts of America, Habitat for Humanity, and United Way. She is a longtime supporter of Artown and is very involved in the arts community in Reno.

Treasurer: John Firestone

John Firestone MSW, LADC, has been the executive director for the Life Change Center in Sparks, Nevada since 2012. He is an accreditation surveyor for CARF (Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) International, and is engaged in private practice helping families affected by addiction concerns. John received his master’s degree in social work from the University of Nevada, Reno. He is active in advocacy, and conducts presentations and workshops at various northern Nevada and northern California locations.

Secretary: Theresa Grant

Theresa is one of the founding board members of the Down Syndrome Network of Northern Nevada. She is also a graduate of the Nevada Partners in Policymaking; a leadership-training program designed to increase empowerment and improve advocacy skills. She has a 17-year- old son who is a musician and a 20-year-old son with intellectual/developmental disabilities who has been a participant at NMTS for many years. Theresa is a proud military wife and a strong advocate for the inclusion of people with disabilities in all aspects of the community.

Director: Dennis Doty

A physical therapist for more than 40 years, Dennis is the owner of Dennis Doty Physical Therapy, Inc. He has extensive experience working with individuals with disabilities and neurological impairments. Dennis is a former board member of the Silver Dollar Chorus and the Colorado Physical Therapy Association. He is also a singer and performs regularly with the Reno Philharmonic Chorus.



Director: Andy Hughes

Andy is the Director of Admissions and Records at Truckee Meadows Community College. He is a graduate of New Mexico Military Institute, Arizona State University and Argosy University. Andy was born in Nuremberg, Germany and continues to travel regularly. You might also find him on the Tahoe Rim Trail enjoying Nevada’s outdoor gifts. Having played in several bands and after years of working in education, music and helping people are two of his passions

Director: Grady McGrannahan

A native of Reno, Nevada, Grady McGrannahan served ten years as Associate Professor of Low Brass and Associate Director of Bands at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Prior to his tenure in academe, Grady taught band in the Salem-Keizer (Oregon) Public School District.

As a professional trombonist, Grady was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, Tallahassee Ballet Orchestra, Reno Jazz Orchestra, Salem Brass Quintet, and Turner Center Jazz Orchestra. He performed with the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra, the Columbus Indiana Orchestra, the Nevada Ballet Orchestra, and along artists such as Johnny Mathis, The Temptations, Davis Gaines, Toni Tennile, and Michael Davis. Grady earned his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Indiana University, Master of Music in trombone performance from Northwestern University, and his Doctorate in music from Florida State University.

Director: Sophie Moeller

Originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Sophie moved to Truckee in 2018, where she began volunteering as a ski instructor for Achieve Tahoe. She continues to volunteer for Achieve Tahoe, and was a camp counselor for Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times in the San

Bernardino Mountains, and coached for Girls on the Run Sierras at Glenshire elementary in Truckee. Sophie also has a love for performing and has performed on stages across the country for 20 years. She is the Community Engagement Coordinator for STEP2, a non-profit agency dedicated to stopping the cycle of addiction in women and children. Since beginning employment at STEP2, she has developed expressive arts workshops, wrote an original STEP2 play in which clients performed at Reno Little Theater, and collaborated on the Lullaby Project with NMTS and the Reno Philharmonic.

Tim Blake, Chairman of the Board

Timothy Blake received his degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2003, and is currently the Senior Hearing Specialist at Sierra Hearing Center.

For more than a decade, Blake has also played various roles in bands in Reno’s hardcore and punk scene. Blake was named Chairman of the Board of Diretcors at The Holland Project in 2018.

Mitch Dufor

Mitch Dufor received his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from California Polytechnic State University in 2008. He currently serves as VP of Development and Construction at PARADIGM8 with many years of experience in construction project management. He has been a devoted member of The Holland Project Board since 2016.

Casey Clark

Born in North Carolina, Casey Clark grew up in Pleasant Valley, north of Reno, and then northern California. He moved back to Reno in 1996, later spending time in Montana and Arizona. He is a prolific ceramics artist and owner of Rolling Out Clay, currently operating out of Doyle, CA as well as his studio in Wayside of Dickerson Rd. in Reno.

Shaughn Richardson

Shaughn Richardsonis a teacher, coach, poet and musician. The Bay Area Native has lived in the Reno/Sparks area for over 20 years, where he attended the University of Nevada Reno. He now teaches middle school Social Studies, coaches basketball and volleyball, and raps in the local Hip Hop band 7-Out. He also performs spoken word poetry as a member of Reno's

Spoken Views Collective. Along with his artistic activities he serves on the board of directors for local non-profit Holland Project where he curates an annual art show featuring local artists' interpretations of Hip Hop lyrics called "Between The Lyrics."

Oona Sapunor-Pfaff

Oona Sapunor-Pfaff was born and raised in Reno and received her degree in journalism and marketing from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2007. Sapunor-Pffaf has several years experience in freelance writing, fashion design, and art direction, and now serves as an Elementary School teacher for the Washoe County School District.

Vanessa Vancour

Vanessa is a former TV anchor with a passion for community-based storytelling. Since 2015, Vanessa has been building ​Noticiero Móvil​, the first bilingual, Spanish-English newsroom for journalism students at the Reynolds School of Journalism. Prior to working in higher education, Vancour worked as a digital strategist for renown brands including Autodesk, Newport Beach &

Co., Tahoe South, Wildfire by Google and more as an account manager and strategist at Noble Studios. In 2017, Vancour delivered a ​TEDx University of Nevada, Reno​ talk on challenging our assumptions, offering simple tactics to overcome our own bias.

Felicia Perez

Born and raised in Southern California, Felicia T Perez is a public speaker, educator and author.

Felicia currently works with the Center for Story-based Strategy as their Innovation Director. She most recently served as CSS' Communications Director, and was the United Workers Congress Communications Strategist. Her previous organizing & member support experience includes work for the ACLU of Southern California, the California "No On Prop 21" campaign,

Californians For Justice, UC Santa Barbara External Vice President of Statewide Affairs, and Chair of the National Queer Students of Color Caucus/board member of the U.S. Student Association (USSA). Perez is also a published curriculum author and holds a B.A. in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction.

Felicia currently resides in Reno, Nevada and joined the Board of Directors at the Holland Project in 2019.

Michael Moberly

Michael Moberly is a local spirits educator and the national brand ambassador for the Reno based distillery Cannella Spirits. His 10 years in the industry have been spent learning, loving, and imbibing with some of the best minds in the industry, both locally and nationally. He is also a freelance writer and host of the monthly radio show on KWNK 97.7FM, Drinks On You, which features conversations with local bartenders discussing the music they love. Moberly joined the Board of Directors at the Holland Project in 2019.

Benjamin Brooks

Dr. Brooks has lived in Reno for nearly 20 years; originally from St. Louis, MO. Prior to starting Midtown Dental in 2015, he was the Dental Director for the Washoe Tribe in Gardnerville, NV.

He graduated from the prestigious Arthur A. Dugoni University of the Pacific Dental School in San Francisco. During dental school, he was fortunate enough to go on two international dental mission trips, educating patients and performing dental work in a remote village. From this, he has seen the value in outreach work and service. He remains active in service organizations, being a member in good standing with the Reno Rotary. Brooks joined the Board of Directors at the Holland Project in 2019.
