We are pleased to announce the following organizational changes in ALES, which are designed to equip us to grow our business and provide focus on our customers 1- Customer Services Division

Richard Thompson is appointed Interim Customer Service Director responsible for administrative, commercial, contractual and project based activities which are grouped together under a new arrangement as ALES Customer Services Division (CSD) with the following direct reports:

1- Marwan Seif – Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for building external leasing revenue, selling a wider range of rental equipment and services, including aggregates, service support and repair services. His team is also actively pursuing the expansion of ALES products & services into new mar-kets in the GCC and beyond.

2- Radwan Zebian – Fleet Manager (FM) assumes responsibility for our fleet, the Customer Service Centre, fuel delivery business, transportation, yard services and Operations Room, managing communication both internally and

ternally. The role of our Customer Service Centre will become the focal point for communication with our customers.

3- Arkan Abou Ali – Contracts Manager (CM) is responsible for the manage-ment and delivery of our existing con¬tract base including drivers and operators welfare and administration, providing day to day services to our clients and sup-porting the field through his team of site officers.

4- Hisham Bou Hadir – Data, Systems and Process Manager In addition to his ERP Support role. Hisham assumes responsibility for the quality of our data held in the ERP system and associated administrative tasks which keep our busi-ness running. Over the course of the coming months, supporting administration tasks will be migrated to Hisham’s team on a case by case basis. Hisham’s focus is to help us build a quality data repository in order that we can gain meaningful insight into the condition of our business through interrogation of our systems and data.

2- Operations

Keith Barnard, Operations Director, is responsible for operational activity in all workshops, external maintenance, repair, technical and driver training, inspections, testing, stores, distribution of inventory, crusher operations, quality and skills of our operational staff.

New supporting appointments:

1- Eng. Hassib Bachnak – Technical Manager leads up the new Technical Support team, supported by Walid Bou Nasserdine, Technical Support Manager, providing ALES with a Centre of Excellence in all technical matters. This team is responsible for inspecting equipment, providing training, estimation, application services, product development & testing, managing external customers and inci-dent investigation.

2- Tarek Derbala – Service & Field Repair Manager In addition to his role as Heavy Equipment Repair Manager, Tarek is responsible for all Maintenance Ser-vices & Field Re¬pair. Formerly ‘External Maintenance and Service Station.

3- Khaled Kaissar – Industrial Workshops Manager is responsible for the merged Industrial and Power & Plants workshops.

Colin O’Malley is Business Support Services Director responsible for ALES Fi-nance, Supply Chain, HR and Administration. The Finance Team has been work-ing on buildwork-ing empirical data for us to be able to analyse and report on the state of our business from a financial perspective. With this in mind, the team has been strengthened to include financial analytics skills which will allow us to interrogate our data and use this information to help make key business decisions going for-ward.

Asset Management System Certification (ISO 55001:2014)

Al Jaber Leasing Services L.L.C (ALES) has become the first organization with-in the UAE leaswith-ing with-industry to achieve certification for Asset management (ISO 55:001:2014).

This achievement adds to our many accomplishments ensuring ALES remains a leader in our field providing safe, reliable, well managed and competitive rental equipment, machinery and vehicles at the highest international standards

ISO 55001:2014 validates our services and satisfaction of our stakeholders. It in-volves the coordinated and optimized planning, asset selection, acquisition/devel-opment, utilization, care (maintenance) and ultimate disposal or renewal of the appropriate assets.

Our asset management system provides a structured, best practice approach to managing the life cycle of all our assets reducing risk associated with ownership of assets – anything from unnecessary maintenance costs and inefficiency to ac-cident prevention. It Improves quality assurance for our customers/regulators and supports international business growth.

human asset management with a well-structured and robust approach, offering reliable assurance and confidence to our customers.

ERP Support News

Systems, Process & Data Department has successfully set up the centralized office for Data Entry and Administration staff with all facilities and connectivity. The new office is planned to go live in April 2015.

Systems, Process & Data Department is designed to maintain quality of our data held in the ERP system and asso-ciated administrative tasks which keep our business running smoothly.

The Department’s focus is to help build a quality data repository in order to gain meaningful insight into the condition of our business through interrogation of our systems and data.

Queue Management System

ALES is pleased to announce further sup-port for our drivers and operators through the successful implementation of the new Queue Management System at our coun-ter. The Queue Management System al-lows for orderly processing of enquiries and tasks related to our staff, through an automated ticketing system. This will help to ensure that our staff are served quickly and efficiently with minimum disruption. Genavco - Invitation For Liebherr Open Day ALES were invited to Liebherr venue at

Jebel Ali Shooting Club, Dubai on 26th

February 2015. The open day presented the latest Liebherr technology, “A state of the art” could be witnessed in a job site condition.

Liebherr representatives from Germany and Switzerland were present to wel-come all participants and explain about the product.

The presentation was about the following equipment in action: - Liebherr PR754 Dozer (40 ton class)

- Liebherr R934 Excavator (30 ton class) - Liebherr L550 Wheel Loader

Another busy month for the EHS team which has seen audits of every workshop internal and external with lots of support from the worshop staff and management. Near miss reporting has seen an increase and this has been very welcome.

we look forward to first aid courses along with fire warden training in December for the workshops and the end of year awards for the best workshop audits presetna-tions, near miss of the year and best safety person.

Drivers and Operators Training. (During 1st quarter 2015) • Defensive Driving Training

• Post-Accident Training • Practical Training • Evaluation

• Refresher Training • Theory

Training has been provided regularly and smoothly in order to improve the D/O skills and reduce the acci-dent ratio. Our trainers and

instructors are working hard and always visiting projects sites for evaluation. We are providing the necessary training for the development of our drivers and opera-tors skills. Training was pro¬vided for sign boards informa¬tion, especially while driving at animal zones, assuring that drivers respect speed limit.

Activation of C-track and Vision Link to our EMV’s

Our fleet is equipped with C-track and Vision Link devices for better monitoring and avoidance of misuse. Current active devices numbers are as follows:

2521 C-track and 1134 Vision link devices have been in¬stalled and are active in EMV’s effectively. Ctivation of C-track and Vision Link to our EMV’s.

Power & Plant News We are pleased to an-nounce that we de-signed, fabricated & assembled a new Gantry Crane in WS – Power & Plants by expert mechanical & electri¬cal teams. The crane operated by an electrical control system with overload safety devices,

warn-ing siren and flash light. Its weight liftwarn-ing capacity is SWL 2.5 Tones. We got en-dorsed by third party inspection and certification from TUV SUD. We added this Gantry Crane to our fleet management system as per ALES policy (EMV# GC-04-09) and it is already installed in WS – External Maintenance Project Tariff (Mafraq Ghuwaifat 3B Project).

Mobile Washing Unit Denting & Welding Workshop has finished the fabrication of the fifth mobile washing unit and soon will join External Maintenance workshops.
