1. Registration Section

The applicant has to be registered before proceeding with the online application form, clicking on the Register tag the first page shown will be the personal data use agreement. In order to apply for the benefits request, it’s mandatory to accept the conditions shown in the web page regarding the use of personal data; please read carefully this section (personal data will be used only under the conditions described in the web page).

The student can go to the next web page and complete the data fields with his personal data, first name, last name and “codice fiscale”, the “codice fiscale” will also be used along with the chosen password for all the following online logins, giving access to the application form.

It’s really important to remember the password during the registration section, the password will be the access key for all the online logins in the next years.

First and Last name must be complete and agree with the “codice fiscale”, a security control will be performed on personal data.

The email address has to be indicated in the convenient data field, this will be necessary to proceed with the registration section and all the information regarding the registration phases will be sent to this address by ISU.

The use of a personal and frequently checked email address is recommended, ISU will send all the information to this address during the academic year.

International students without a “codice fiscale” have to complete the data fields inside the red

rectangle, the system will generate and send automatically to the specified email address a fictitious “codice fiscale” necessary for all the next logins.

2. Forgot your password?

If you forgot the password, go to the home page and click on the relative “forgot password” section. Entering the “codice fiscale” and the email address reported at the moment of the registration, and clicking on “Next”, you will receive an e-mail with the forgotten password.

3. Login

If you’re logging in for the first time, you’ll need to enter in the data fields your “codice fiscale”, the password chosen at the moment of the registration and the alphanumeric code received with the first email sent by ISU to your email address.

If this is not the first login, you just have to enter your “codice fiscale” and password, in case you forgot the password, please follow the procedure shown in section # 2.

4. Personal Data

All the personal data of the student requesting the benefits have to be insert in this page, the Birth data and Residence data are compulsory to proceed to the next section (all the data field marked with (*) have to be completed), the domicile data have to be completed only if these are different from the residence ones.

5. Payment Data

In this section you can choose if you want to receive the scholarship by check, sent to your residence address, or by wire transfer.

If you choose to receive a check to your residence address, you don’t need to complete all the other data fields in the page, just click “Next”.

In case you choose the wire transfer, the bank account has to be in the name of the student or the student has to appear with the names of the holders, you need to specify the name and branch name of your bank and all the codes requested, if you don’t have your bank account information, please contact your bank and come back to complete the application. The CIN code has to be specified in case of foreign bank account only.

6. Matriculation

In this section all the data of the enrolment in the university are requested, please be sure that all the procedure of enrolment is completed and the university has got your personal data.

The student has to choose the university from the pull-down menu with all the different options: Politecnico di Milano, Conservatorio statale di Musica “G. Verdi” Milano or Conservatorio statale di Musica “G. Verdi” Como, then he has to choose the Faculty (“Architettura”, “Design” or “Ingegneria” for Politecnico di Milano, “Alta formazione artistica e musicale” for both Conservatorio statale di Musica “G. Verdi” Milano and Conservatorio statale di Musica “G. Verdi” Como ) and finally the course of study (even if the student transferred from an other university), in this case all the options have to be chosen from the pull-down menu generated after the choice of the Faculty.

If Politecnico di Milano is chosen and “Architettura” or “Design” as faculty, the choices will be: the course “Dottorato di ricerca”, the course “Laurea vecchio ordinamento (ante D.p.r 509/1999)”, the course “Laurea di primo livello”, the course “Laurea Specialistica” ed the course “Master Universitario”. For the faculty of “Ingegneria” the choices will be the same, except for the course of study “Ingegneria Edile -- Architettura” with the added course “Laurea specialistica a ciclo unico”. The student must report also the course type, the university seat and the academic year which he’s enrolling in and his academic standing. For the courses of study lasting three years, the possible years of enrolment are: the first, the second and the third (if the student has failed to complete the academic requirements for the year in which he’s asking for the social benefits, he must report for how many years he failed the academic requirements, enrolment year included).

The student must also report the university and the academic year of the first enrolment among all in a university course of study and the academic year of enrolment in the actually attended course of study.

It is also necessary to specify whether the academic career was interrupted, completing with the number of years of suspension.

7. Student Condition

In this section you’re invited to show you’re accommodation condition, if you’re not resident in the municipality of the university or at the border of the university and you found an accommodation

nearby the university, if you want to be considered “fuori sede”, you must prove, with a fiscally valid certification, that you’re paying for your accommodation.

This means that the student must prove if he is the holder (or if one of his parents is the holder) of a location contract for a property in the same municipality of the seat of the course of study or in one of the municipalities at the border (a copy of the location contract regularly registered has to be submitted by the time limit of the publication of the final results); if the accommodation has been found in a private or public dormitory, the student must submit a fiscally valid certificate issued by the dorm, in case of accommodation in an other private or public facility, it is also necessary a fiscally valid certificate relative to the payment of the rent, the student can also declare to be looking for accommodation.

If the documents will not be received by the time limits specified in the application regulation, the student will be considered commuter student.

8. Provided Services

In this section the student can specify the services he wants to request depending on the availability. The “Reduced price for Food Court” request is automatically generated when the “Scholarship” is requested, if this option is not chosen the single selection of the “Reduced price Food Court” will be available.

If the student is applying also for the admission in one of the dormitories, he can also select the favourite dorm from the list at the right of the first three choices.

Selecting the request of extension of the accommodation service (for final year students who expect to graduate in the academic year only), all the other options except for the one of “Reduced price for food Court” will be disabled.

The service relative to the students involved in international mobility, can be requested by the student who intends to participate to a program of study abroad in the academic year which he’s enrolling in or in the academic year which he’s asking services for. In this case there will be some additional data fields to be completed with the name of the foreign university, the country, the time limits of the program and the Studesk responsible for the international mobility program.

Please communicate any variations regarding the time length of the international program. 9. Academic Standing

The next section will vary depending on your enrolment, if you’re a freshman or a PhD student or a “laurea specialistica” student …etc this section will be different and the data requested will be specific to your academic enrolment.

a) Academic Standing: for freshmen or students enrolled in the first year of “Laurea Specialistica a ciclo unico”

The student must declare if in the academic year he’s going to receive a scholarship from an other institution, he must declare also if he has obtained a “diploma di laurea” degree or a “diploma di laurea specialistica” degree or a “diploma di laurea specialistica a ciclo unico” degree or a “diploma di laurea quadriennale/quinquennale” degree or “diploma universitario” degree and also if he failed to complete the academic requirements.

The student must also specify when he obtained the high school degree and the relative final grade (out of 60 or 100), these data will be used to create the list for the scholarship and accommodation assignment.

The student, enrolling in the first year of “Conservatorio di musica” in Como and Milano, must also specify the final grade obtained at the music school.

b) Academic Standing: for students enrolled in the first year of “Laurea Specialistica” The student must also specify when he obtained the “laurea di primo livello” degree and the relative final grade, these data will be used to create the list for the scholarship and accommodation assignment.

In case of enrolment in “Laurea Specialistica” course if the student in order to reach the minimum number of credits (equal to 150) has the necessity to use the bonus, he must specify the number of recognised credits from the attended classes and the number of bonus credits he wants to use (Application Regulation “REQUISITI PER L’INSERIMENTO NELLE GRADUATORIE DELLA BORSA DI STUDIO” sec. 3 pag. 3).

c) Academic Standing: for students enrolled in the subsequent years of the “nuovo ordinamento” courses of study

The student must declare if in the academic year he’s going to receive a scholarship from an other institution, he must declare also if he has obtained a “diploma di laurea” degree or a “diploma di laurea specialistica” degree or a “diploma di laurea specialistica a ciclo unico” degree or a “diploma di laurea quadriennale/quinquennale” degree or “diploma universitario” degree and also if he failed to complete the academic requirements.

The student must also specify if he transferred from an other university or from an other course of study, if he enrolled for the second time in the same academic year, if he’s renewing the enrolment after the submission of the study renunciation form, and if he considers convenient to use the bonus for the academic year of the social benefits request (Application Regulation “REQUISITI PER L’INSERIMENTO NELLE GRADUATORIE DELLA BORSA DI STUDIO” par.3 pag. 3, 4).

The application section must be completed with the information relative to the academic standing. The number of credits performed by August the 10th and the weighted average of the grades obtained.

If the students participated to an international mobility program in the previous year, he must specify the number of classes attended at the foreign university and the annual classes recognised by Politecnico.

d) Academic Standing: for students enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy program

The student must declare if in the academic year he’s going to receive a scholarship from an other institution.

The student must also specify if he transferred from an other university or from an other course of study, if he enrolled for the second time in the same academic year, if he’s renewing the enrolment after the submission of the study renunciation form.

The application section must be completed with the information relative to the academic standing.

The applicant must state when he had obtained the “diploma di laurea specialistica” degree or the “diploma di laurea quinquennale a ciclo unico” degree or the “diploma di laurea di vecchio ordinamento” degree and the relative final grade.

10. Family Data

All the data in this section have to agree with the ISEE certification (or with the ISEEU certification, necessary only in case of total or partial foreign incomes of the family, or in case of incomes from brothers or sisters in the family) reporting the economic and patrimonial condition of the family for the previous academic year.

All the information about the student asking for services is integrated with the information of the parents and all the other components of the family, in order to take into account the expenses for the economical support of the applicant.

If both the following two prerequisites are satisfied:

- Residence, resulting from an official document, different from the family residence since two years before the time of the application and consistent of a property not in the name of one of the family members.

- Incomes coming from independent occupation, not dependent on one of the family members, integrated by income tax return forms of at least two years and stating an income of at least 6904.00 € per year.

It won’t be taken into account the economical standing of the origin family.

11. ISEE/ISEEU Certification

The student in order to proceed with this section and the following ones should already have asked to one of the “Centro di Assistenza Fiscale” (CAAF), the two documents “Dichiarazione Sostitutiva Unica” and “ISEE Certification” (the equivalent economic standing indicator based on the tax return forms of the family).

If you have only the “Dichiarazione Sostitutiva Unica”, you must specify the issue date of the document but in order to fully complete the section, you have to obtain the “ISEE Certification”, with the new login the application will start from the page left incomplete (if the application will not be completed within the time limits established by the application regulation, it won’t be valid). If you have the two documents, just select the “yes” data field and go to the next section.

12. ISEEU Data

The student must complete the data fields reporting the values (all the numbers must be in euros) written on the “ISEE Certification”, this means the name of the agency that issued the certification, the issue date, the protocol number at first, and then all the indicators (ISE, ISEE, ISR, ISP).

If the student has the ISEEU Certification also (in case of brothers or sisters with incomes or owners of properties, or for incomes coming from abroad or owners of properties abroad), he has to complete the second part of the section.

13. Summary

In this section the student has the possibility to check if all the data previously insert are correct. If some of the information in the summary form are incorrect or incomplete, it’s possible to come back to the relative section and change the data field eventually wrong; before proceeding with the confirmation, please read carefully all the information of the form.

After the confirmation of all the data of the summary page, an email composed by the summary table of the data will be sent to the email address specified during the registration section, this email must be printed, dated, signed and personally submitted following the specified procedure.

It’s also possible to send by mail all the specified documents to the mail address: via Pascoli 53, 20133 Milano, or by fax to the number 02/23697817-828, in both cases it’s necessary to send by mail or fax a copy of a valid ID.
