1 Introduction
1.1 General InformationThis document gives you a short overview about the first steps after you receive your Vector AUTOSAR Solution delivery and how to update. Which Vector release is used? See Additional Information on page 11.
Administrator rights are required!
Make sure, that you have administrator rights; some setups need them for tool installation!
Delivery Description
Delivery on E- mail/FTP (Only MICROSAR SIP delivery)
The setups are stored as a self decrypting PGPs executable (*.sda) on the Vector FTP server. You have received two E-mails from Vector containing all necessary links and pass-phrases to download and decrypt the delivery.

User Manual to get the delivery basically running step by step and description to start with Vector AUTOSAR Solution. Get familiar with MICROSAR BSW modules and tools like DaVinci Developer and DaVinci Configurator. You will find this document in the Doc folder of your MICROSAR SIP.
2 Delivery Overview
The following figure gives a complete overview of the setups and where they can be installed from. The steps are described in detail in the following chapter.
3 Installation
This section describes the SIP and tool installation and activation. Cross Reference
Before starting tool installation see System Requirements (Additional Information on page 11).
3.1STEP 1Decrypt, Unpack and Install MICROSAR SIP
Caution - SIP installation on network is not supported!
The included programs (e.g. dataserver, InitialEcucGenerator,...) do not work correctly on network, this could lead to errors.
Select local path for SIP installation location. Note
MCALs are not longer part of the MICROSAR SIP delivery (exception: Vector is MCAL reseller ).
For detailed information about MCAL handling, see section Additional Information on page 11.
3.1.1 To Decrypt Your MICROSAR SIP Practical Procedure
1. Open the link to the FTP server and save <CBDxxx>_<Dyy>-sda.exe to your com-puter.
2. Open <CBDxxx>_<Dyy>-sda.exe and enter the passphrase (password from 2. e-mail) to decrypt.
3.1.2 To Install Your CBDxxx MICROSAR SIP Practical Procedure
Start Vector MICROSAR SIP CBDxxx <Hw> <Comp> Setup.exe and follow the installation hints.
After MICROSAR SIP Installation you can find necessary links based on your CBD number in your start menu.

3.1.3 To Download and Install Your External Component Setup
The installation of the DaVinci_ExternalComponentsSetup.exe is only required for the first MICROSAR SIP installation.
Practical Procedure
1. Download External Component setup from Vector Download-Center http://vector.-com/vi_servicepacks_davinci_de.html
2. Unpack the downloaded zip file DaVinci_ExternalComponentsSetup.zip
3. Start DaVinci_ExternalComponentsSetup.exe and follow the installation hints. Note
In case of an Update of the External Components, the Vector tools will inform you that you have to install a newer Version of DaVinci_ExternalComponentsSetup.exe.

3.2 STEP 2 Install DaVinci Tools
DaVinci tools are delivered before your MICROSAR SIP delivery. If you have already installed the AUTOSAR tools, skip this chapter and go on with the Startup Document Introduciton on page 4.
3.2.1 To Activate Your DaVinci Configurator Pro (Optional) Note
The DaVinci Configurator Pro is delivered as part of the Vector MICROSAR SIP. It is not necessary to install theDaVinci Configurator Proseparately.
Practical Procedure
Just activate your license via Vector License Manager. For more Information about product activation have a look at the LicenseManagerHelp.pdf Introduciton on page 4.
Note
With release 9, theDaVinci Configurator Prosupports 32bit and 64bit systems. Please run the latest External Components Setup in case you use a software-based tool license (Flexnet). Large configurations require the usage of a 64bit PC and operating system. 3.2.2 To Install and Activate Your DaVinci Developer (Optional)
This section is only necessary if you use a RTE and if you have purchased theDaVinci Developer. The Developer is delivered before your MICROSAR SIP delivery. If you have already installed and activated theDaVinci Developer, skip this section.
Practical Procedure
1. Start the setup.exe of theDaVinci Developerdelivery and follow the installation hints. 2. Activate your license via Vector License Manager. For more Information about product

4 Update
NoteWe recommend to always use the latest version of Vector tools. Please note that DaVinci Developer and MICROSAR RTE are closely related so that only compatible versions can be used together. Check the allowed combinations here: www.vector.com/rte_davinci

4.1 Update From Internet
You get the update from the Download-Center onhttps://vector.com/.
4.2 Update From FTP
You get the update from the FTP server. It is the same step as described for installation.
4.3 To Update Your DaVinci Developer (Optional)
Download the latest service pack ofDaVinci Developerfromwww.vector.com. Practical Procedure
1. Openwww.vector.comand browse to the Download-Center 2. Download the new service pack of theDaVinci Developer.
3. Start the setup.exe to update theDaVinci Developeron your computer.
4.4 To Update Your DaVinci Configurator (Optional)
Download the latest setup of theDaVinci Configuratorfromwww.vector.com. Practical Procedure
1. Openwww.vector.comand browse to the Download-Center 2. Download the new setup of theDaVinci Configurator.
3. Start the DaVinci_Configurator_x.y.z_SPx_Update.exe to update theDaVinci Con-figuratoron your computer.
4. Select the SIP Vector DaVinci Configurator Service Pack Installer
4.5 To Update Your External Component Setup
Download the latest version of External Component setup fromwww.vector.com. Note
Keep your External Components up to date! Always install the latest version of the External Components.
Practical Procedure
1. Download External Component setup from Vector Download-Center http://vector.-com/vi_servicepacks_davinci_en.html
2. Unpack the downloaded zip file DaVinci_ExternalComponentsSetup.zip 3. Start *.exe and follow the installation hints.

5.2 Integrate and update MCAL
For new deliveries, MCALs are not longer part of the MICROSAR SIP delivery (exception: Vector is MCAL reseller ).
Now you have to order the necessary MCALs directely from the Hardware Manufacturer.
The MICROSAR SIP includes a script, which will include the MCAL. You can find the Script_MCAL_Pre-pare.bat within the following path:

Note
If you want to update your MCAL, you have to execute the Script_MCAL_Prepare.bat once again.
Check the delivered SIP, if
.\Doc\ReleaseNotes\ReleaseNotes_3rdPartyMCAL_Vect-orIntegration.pdf exists. If the file exists, read the MCAL-specific information. If the file not exist ignore this section.
5.3 Additional Tools, recommended by Vector 5.3.1 CANoe
If you usevVIRTUALtarget, Vector recommendCANoeas test tool. If you have licensed CANoe, the fol-lowing Installation steps are necessary:
1. Download the last CANalyzer / CANoe Service Pack from Vector Download-Center http://vector.-com/vi_downloadcenter_en.html
2. Unpack the downloaded zip file CANalyzerCANoe_xx_SPyy.zip 3. Start CANwin_xx_SPyy.exe and follow the installation hints.
4. Activate your license via Vector License Manager. For more Information about product activation have a look at the LicenseManagerHelp.pdf Introduciton on page 4
5.3.2 Visual Studio 2013
Download and install Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 from the official Microsoft website.
Which MICROSAR RTE Version is used
You can find the used MICRSOAR RTE Version in the Delivery Description of the delivered Vector MICROSAR SIP (SIP Version).
The DeliveryDescription_ CBDxxxxxxx.html is stored at the Doc/DeliveryInformation folder of the installed Vector MICROSAR SIP.
Open DeliveryDescription_<CBDxxx>.html and search for Rte_Asr4 in the Component Ver-sion Information section.
