The UNESCO/Keizo Obuchi Research Fellowships Programme focuses on post-graduate research activities in the following four areas, as identified by late prime M i n i s t e r O b u c h i :

1 ' e n v i r o n m e n t ( w i t h p a r t i c u l a r e m p h a s i s o n w a t e r s c i e n c e s ) ; 2 . i n t e r c u l t u r a l d i a l o g u e ;

3 . i n f o r m a t i o n a n i c o m m u n i c a t i o n t e c h n o l o g i e s ; a n d 4 . p e a c 6 f u l c o n f l i c t r e s o l u t i o n .
