Teaching Experience
Education Tour Manager and Associate Improvisations
A class designed to explore the basic acting essentials: mind, body, and voice. Students practice the ability to think on their feet and work as an ensemble to create short scenes. An informal presentation held at the end of the six-week study.
Broadway Bound
A musical theatre based class focused on the triple threat performer. Students are exposed to vocal training, dance instruction, and acting techniques through a scene study. An informal presentation comprised of a scene and musical performance is held at the end of the six-week study.
Adventures in Acting
An introductory look at acting for young performers. Students learn acting essentials through discussion and activity. An informal presentation held at the end of the six-week study.
Creative Comedy
A course designed to provide a beginners look at slap-stick comedy. Students participate in several scene studies to locate and deliver lines through comedic timing. An informal presentation held at the end of the six-week study.
Camp Florida Rep
Winter and Spring Break Camp: Facilitate art classes. Students learn how to use various arts supplies and assist in creating their own costumes.
Camp Florida Rep Summer: Facilitate art classes and Costume Design camp musical productions.
Students learn the process of designing and creating costumes through hands on practice and activities.
In-School Residency – The Prince and the Pauper | A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Prince and the Pauper: A scene study focused on character development with an additional focus on costume design. Students analyze text to better understand character intension while also using context clues to create costume designs. 6th Grade Language Arts.

TA 2602 Musical Theatre Ensemble
A topics course studying the development process for a large new musical. Working with playwright/lyricist, Michelle Hope-Long and composer, Mindy Damon with financial support from Broadway producer, Bruce Long (Tuck Everlasting, Of Mice and Men, Memphis) to develop and workshop their new musical, By Grace.
TA 3539 Musical Theatre Performance
A practical study of the special theories, techniques and practices of theatrical performance in musical theatre styles.
TA 3180 History of the Musical Stage
A survey of music for the stage including opera, German singspiel and nineteenth century operatic developments, with emphasis on the contributions of the American musical theatre.
DAN 3537 Dance for the Musical Stage
Course designed to study various choreographers and dance techniques used in musical theatre from 1945 to present.
MUS 1511 Music Theory I, II
A topics course studying the elements of melody, rhythm, and harmony; introduction to voice leading and analysis skills.
