Life safety contractors not listed above must meet the following requirements and must submit the following information for review and approval:
Fire Alarm Systems Fire Sprinkler Systems & 5-Year Inspection/Certification • California State C-10 Contractors License
• Authorized Distributor
o Bosch/Radionics (to install new fire
alarm systems, or to alter, test, service or maintain existing
Bosch/Radionics fire alarm systems)
o If not Bosch/Radionics equipment,
then Authorized Distributor for equipment to be altered, tested, serviced or maintained)
• Ten (10) years experience installing, servicing and maintaining same type of equipment
• Company Biography describing number of years in business, service capabilities and examples of previous work
• California State C-16 Contractor’s License
• Ten (10) years experience in designing, installing, testing and servicing fire sprinkler systems
• Company Biography describing number of years in business, service capabilities and examples of previous work

The Fire Protection Office must be notified of any work or testing of existing life safety systems, and may require submittals for review and approval. Please contact the Fire Protection Office by calling (415) 561-4001 for guidance and requirements. No work may begin on any life safety system without prior approval, and permit if required, from the Fire Protection Office.
New system installations require submittals including equipment specifications, shop drawings and relevant calculations for review and approval. Please contact the Presidio Trust Building Permitting
