2015 IN A FLASH!

The 35th International Bunker Conference (IBC) will meet in Copenhagen 2-4 April 2014. BI Norwegian Business School is proud to confirm that IBC 2014 is supported by the industry and has remained a proactive forum since its introduction in 1979.

The headline of IBC 2014 is “2015 in a flash!” and at the conference you will get in-depth presentations of papers on issues of importance to the international bunker industry.

Our main asset is a close cooperation with industrial partners such as oil companies, ship owners and class, and our priority is to deliver quality-based subject content and a network for IBC delegates. Welcome to IBC 2014 in Copenhagen!

The conference targets oil companies, ship owners and ship managers, operators, charterers, shipbrokers, bunker suppliers, bunker brokers and bunker traders, agents, classification societies, surveyors and adjusters, shipyards, ship designers and suppliers to ship yards, shipping banks and investment banks, testing companies, terminal and barge operators, Insurance companies, Hull & Machinery underwriters, P & I clubs, Insurance brokers, Law firms, In-house legal departments, defence clubs, media, maritime institutions, maritime schools and universities and international, national and regional authorities.

WEDNESDAY 2 APRIL

A one day dive into distillate challenges 0900-1500 at Scandic Sydhaven

DNVPS are pleased to invite for a power session on distillates. Through this one day focus on distillates we will look into the expected drivers for demand and what the risk may be operating on distillate fuels.

Charlotte Røjgaard, Technical Director, DNVPS will be the main lecturer in this course. Geir Lærum from Alfa Laval will provide a session on treatment of distillate fuels.

Who should attend? Ship operators, fuel procurement, technical superintendents, vessel managers, and any involved with the purchase and use of bunker fuel to vessels.

Price: IBC participants USD 200. Non IBC participants USD 400.

WEDNESDAY 2 APRIL

Barge visit and live demonstration of mass flow meters 16.00 - 18.00 hrs

Bus pick up at Scandic Hotel Copenhagen at 15.30. Bus returns to the hotel at 18.30.

We are pleased to invite you to attend a live demonstration of mass flow meters by OW Bunker. The role that mass flow meters can play in driving up standards in the bunker industry is an important issue and IBC will en-courage all conference participants to take advantage of this rare opportunity to see a mass flow meter in action.

Buffet and drinks will be provided.

Welcome Reception and Bunker Corner at Scandic Copenhagen Hotel 19.30 - 24.00 hrs

We invite all delegates to a Welcome Reception at the conference hotel. Here you will get the opportunity to meet new and already well known bunker friends. Tapas and assorted beverages will be served. After the Welcome Reception we invite all delegates to round off the evening with a night cap in the lounge bar at the hotel.
