WHY CHOOSE A CREATIVE INDUSTRY?

MESSAGE FROM INSTRUCTOR RILEY LAWSON

The fashion industry in Saskatchewan as a whole has gained momentum over the past 8 years due to the amount of creative, passionate people working hard to make our province a well-established player in the Canadian fashion scene. To complement that, the demand and interest have grown exponentially because people see the opportunities closer to home vs. having to step outside the province to be successful. Whether it’s retail merchandising or buying, styling for editorial, corporate or one-on-one, or fashion design, the time has come for us to say no to sending passionate people out of the province to get a well-curated and professional education. Instead, we’ve worked hard to gather industry leaders who bring their passion, education and years of experience to students through the programs we’re offering (which are just a fraction of what’s to come in the future). I am beyond thrilled to provide leadership to students who want to enter into the world that has given me so many incredible experiences and share my knowledge in hopes of encouraging others to pursue their passion within the fashion world.
