PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Please note that travel ticket (for metro, tram and bus from 10th to 14th July) will be offered at the welcome desk.

This

ticket works for all metro, shuttle and tramway lines except for the shuttle going to the Airport.

1.

WELCOME PARTY: Sunday, July 10

th

8 PM Registration, Information Desk & Welcoming party: Espace Vanel / Médiathèque José-Cabanis”. Espace Vanel is located at the top of the Metro station "Marengo-SNCF" on A-line.

From Matabiau railway station: at the exit of the station, walk 200 m to the left on the Boulevard Pierre Sémard. Then, turn left on the Allée Jean-Jaurès. The Arch Marengo - José Cabanis Médiathèque, which is a multimedia library, will be 100 m in front of you. The Espace Vannel is located at the last floor of the building.

From Blagnac Airport: take the shuttle to the city center, and get off at the Gare routière stop. Then, walk along the Boulevard Pierre Sémard to the Matabiau railway station. At the railway station, continue for about 200 m along the Boulevard Pierre Sémard. Then, turn left on the Allée Jean-Jaurès. The Arche Marengo - José Cabanis Médiathèque is 100 m in front of you. The “Espace Vannel” is located at the last floor of the building.

The convention venue

The conference takes place in the ENSEEIHTT (School of Engineering), located in the center of Toulouse.

Nearest metro station to the ENSEEIHT: • Line A – Jean-Jaurès, Jean-Jaurès square

• Line B – François-Verdier, Boulevard Lazare Carnot

Lines A and B run every day from 5.15 am until midnight from Sunday to Thursday and until 3 am on Friday and Saturday.

By train

The Toulouse-Matabiau railway station is located in the city center of Toulouse, 14 minutes’ walk to ENSEEIHT (conference location).

This train station has a metro station called “Marengo-SNCF”. By taking it, you have two alternatives to reach ENSEEIHT.

Firstly you can get off at Jean-Jaurès station and walk 700 meters to ENSEEIHT.

OR you can change to metro line B at Jean-Jaurès and get off at the François-Verdier station. Then you will only have 500 meters to walk to reach ENSEEIHT.

By plane

The international Toulouse-Blagnac airport is located 20 minutes away from Toulouse city center. You will be able to reach the ENSEEIHT or the main metro stations of the city using taxis, tramway or shuttle.

If you take the shuttle, get off at Jean-Jaurès. Then you will have to walk 700 meters (9 minutes) to ENSEEIHT. OR

Take the metro (LINE B) and get off at François-Verdier. From François-Verdier, you will have to walk 500 meters (6 minutes).

If you take the tramway (line T2), get off at Arènes (line A), then take the metro to Jean-Jaurès (700 meters away from ENSEEIHT).

OR

Get off at Jean-Jaurès, take metro line B to François-Verdier. From François-Verdier, you will have to walk 500 meters (6 minutes).

Monday, July 11

6:30 PM Welcome reception Toulouse Mayor City

To reach the Toulouse Mayor City by yourself you have two alternatives.

Either you walk for 13 minutes (1km), or you take the metro line B at François-Verdier and get off at Jean-Jaurès station. Then you will need to walk for 6 minutes (450m).

Buses will come to pick you up at ENSEEIHT at 6pm after conferences. Meeting point: welcome desk

At 7pm, you will be able to visit the Aeroscopia museum and you will be offered a cocktail under planes followed by a gala dinner at 20:30 and an Armagnac degustation.

Some buses are organized to bring you back to the city center of Toulouse at:  23:30

They will stop at Compans-Cafarelli, Jeanne d’Arc and Jean-Jaurès.

Thursday, July 14

10AM Toulouse visit in French and English (only on registration) Meeting point: tourism office

In order to attend the Toulouse visit, you will have to go to the Toulouse tourism office located close to the Toulouse city hall.

Nearest metro station to go to the tourist office are:

- Capitole station, metro LINE A (1 minute away from tourism office) - Jean-Jaurès station, metro LINE B (5 minutes away from tourism office)

By taxi

You can take the Airport shuttle at “Jean Jaures” square.

One trip to the airport costs 8 €. There is a departure every 20 minutes and the journey lasts 20 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

This trip doesn’t work with the ticket provided by the conference.

By tramway

There is a departure every 15 minutes and the journey lasts 21 minutes from “Arènes” metro station (LINE A) and 32 minutes from the “Palais de Justice” metro station (LINE B).

This trip works with the ticket offered by the conference.
