I Repeat: The movable patterns are the „secret code‰„secret code‰„secret code‰ that you need to crack in order to play anywhere on the fretboard. Do NOT „secret code‰ overlook these little, simple patterns. The reason they are so important is because once youÊve memorized each pattern, you can then „transpose‰ (move to another key) that pattern to any key on the fretboard.

This mode is exactly like the Locrian mode, except the 4th degree is diminished (lowered ½ step). This is why it’s called Diminished 4th.
