Kia Ora and welcome to New Zealand for the Winter Games 2015. Upon arrival into Queenstown Airport you will collect your 4WD, and head to your accommodation on the fringes of central Queenstown, looking over Lake Wakitipu.
Queenstown Overview: The resort town of Queenstown is
sophisticated and fantastically scenic. Its lake and mountain landscape is suited to almost any kind of adventure; but Queenstown is just as well known as a place for indulgence. The area’s history is intertwined with gold. In 1862, two sheep shearers struck it rich at the edge of the Shotover River. The ensuing gold rush town was named Queenstown because ‘...it was fit for Queen Victoria’. Adventure activities include snow sports, bungy jumping, jet boating, horse trekking and river rafting. Indulgent experiences include exceptional food and wine, lake cruises, spa treatments, boutique shopping and leisurely games of golf.
St Moritz: Situated only a few minutes walk from Queenstown’s
city centre, Hotel St Moritz is ideally situated overlooking Lake Wakatipu to The Remarkables mountain range. The Hotel St Moritz embodies the spirit of its location. Its architecture and interiors offer intriguing works of art, bespoke furniture and refreshing colours, which highlight the unique charm of the place and the serenity of its surroundings. Decorated with style and elegance, its spacious rooms provide the same sense of calm and serenity. The blend of textures, colours and light combine to make this “alpine residence” a unique haven where sensorial delights await you.
One Bedroom Alpine Suite Lake View: An apartment-styled suite, this spacious 54m2 room is a charming
residence for one’s stay in Queenstown. The room features a kitchenette (with washing machine / dryer), large lounge and dining area, and a private king bedroom. The sofa converts into an inner-sprung sofa-bed if additional bedding is required. Balconies are not guaranteed. There is a spacious ensuite bathroom, featuring Aigner toiletries, separate bath and glass walk-in shower.
