Program

Effective Dates

Residential and Business Customer Programs are

available June 1, 2011 – May 31, 2014 or until funds

are exhausted

Customers who purchase qualified energy efficiency

equipment during the program’s effective dates, may be

eligible for rebates

Please Note:

Application must be submitted within 90 days of

purchase/installation date or by June 30, 2014, whichever

comes first

Public entities and Direct Access customers are not eligible

Purchase and install eligible equipment

Submit complete applications and necessary

documentation within the program’s effective dates

• New equipment must meet ENERGY STAR standards with an Energy Factor >/= 0.67

• For residential-sized hot water heater with storage installed in non-residential space, tankless not eligible.

Large Water Heater Thermal Efficiency >/=

88% $150

• Commercial sized hot water heater with storage installed in non-residential space.

• New equipment must have a Thermal Efficiency >/= 88% with an Input Capacity >/= 75 MBTUH

Domestic Hot Water

End use must be domestic hot water only, space heating

and process end uses are not eligible

Furnaces

AFUE >/= 92% $200 • For residential-sized furnaces installed in small non-residential space for space heating use. • New equipment must be ENERGY STAR rated with an Annual Fuel

Utilization Efficiency >/= 92% or >/= 95% and an Input Capacity between 40 - 140 MBTUH.

Furnace AFUE >/= 95% $250

End use must be space heating only,

domestic hot water and process end uses

are not eligible.

All Contractor Invoices/Proof of Purchase

Receipts must include the installation

configuration.

Non-Condensing Boilers

Equipment Rebate

Amount Measure-Specific Requirements

Input Capacity < 299 MBTUH $400

• Boilers must have a Thermal Efficiency of >/= 85% with an Input Capacity between 300-1,999 MBTUH, or an AFUE >/= 85% with an Input Capacity up to 299 MBTUH.

• For commercial-sized hot water boiler (no storage)

installed in non-residential space for space heating use. Input Capacity 300 - 499 MBTUH $1,000

Input Capacity 500 – 999 MBTUH $ 1,250 Input Capacity 1,000 – 1,699 MBTUH $ 1,750 Input Capacity 1,700 – 1,999 MBTUH $ 2,500

End use must be space heating only, domestic hot water

and process end uses are not eligible

All Contractor Invoices/Proof of Purchase Receipts must

include the Input Capacity (in MBTUH).

Condensing Boilers

Equipment Rebate

Amount Measure-Specific Requirements

Input Capacity < 299 MBTUH $500 Boilers must have a Thermal Efficiency of >/= 90% with an Input Capacity between 300-1,999 MBTUH, or an AFUE >/= 90% with an Input Capacity up to 299 MBTUH. • For commercial-sized hot water boiler (no storage)

installed in non-residential space for space heating use. • Condensing Boilers must have an outdoor-air reset

control installed (integrated, or added into the system),

unless the supply temperature does not exceed 140°F. Input Capacity 300 - 499 MBTUH $ 1,500

Input Capacity 500 – 999 MBTUH $ 2,500 Input Capacity 1,000 – 1,699 MBTUH $ 5,000 Input Capacity 1,700 – 1,999 MBTUH $ 7,500

End use must be space heating only, domestic hot water

and process end uses are not eligible

All Contractor Invoices/Proof of Purchase Receipts must

include the Input Capacity (in MBTUH).

Boiler Controls

Auto-Reset

Control $250

• Control must result in an Output Temperature Range >/= 10⁰F. • Must automatically control boiler output water temperature setpoint

based on outdoor air temperature, manual controls are not eligible. • Eligible boiler limited to Input Capacity >/= 100 MBTUH.

• Control must be installed on an existing boiler, or a new boiler that is not required to have reset controls installed.

• Rebate paid on a per unit basis.

Steam Traps $50

• Rebates are available for the repair or replacement of existing steam traps. • New steam traps or repair kits must replace existing steam traps, one for

one and installed at the site address reported on the application. • Rebate paid on a per steam trap basis.

Boiler Tune Up

Boiler Tune Up Rebate Amount - $350/boiler Required Tune Up Checklist

Measure combustion efficiency using an electronic flue gas analyzer.

Adjust airflow and reduce excessive stack temperatures.

Adjust burner and gas input, manual or motorized draft control.

Clean burners, combustion chamber and fire-side exchange surface.

Inspect and clean burner nozzles. Check for proper venting.

Complete visual inspection of system piping and insulation.

Check safety controls.

Check adequacy of combustion air intake

Boiler Input Capacity >/= 100

MBTUH

Boiler must be at least 2 years old

Must include a copy of the

Combustion Test Analyzer

documentation, that includes both

pre- and post-Boiler Tune-Up

conditions.

Tune up service must be completed

by a Professional Contractor

Can only be claimed once per boiler

during the Program offering period,

Condensing Unit Heater $200

• Must have a Thermal Efficiency >/= 90%

• Heater must be vented, and condensate drained per manufacturer specifications.

Infrared Heater $700

• Only low-intensity heaters are eligible

• Must have an electric ignition and must use non-conditioned air for combustion

• Outdoor patio heating applications are not eligible.

• New sprayer must have a flow rate </= 1.25 gpm at 60 psi • Only single valve sprayers are eligible.

Rebate only available for replacement of existing

equipment in a commercial-use kitchen

Spray valves must replace existing spray valves, one

for one. New additions that are not replacing existing

spray valves are not eligible.

Note: Manufacturer product specification sheet is

required for this measure

• Must have an Idle Energy Consumption Rate </= 13,000 Btu/h.

Combination Oven $500 • Natural gas combination convection/steam oven Cooking efficiency >/= 40% utilizing ASTM F2861

Rack Oven / Double Oven $1,400 • Baking energy efficiency >/= 50% utilizing ASTM standard 2093.

Kitchen Equipment

Griddle $250

• New equipment must meet ENERGY STAR standards with a heavy load cooking efficiency >/= 38% utilizing ASTM standard F1275 • Idle Energy Consumption Rate </= 2,600 Btu/h per square foot of

cooking surface.

Fryer $500

• New equipment must meet ENERGY STAR standards with a heavy load cooking efficiency >/= 50% utilizing ASTM standard F1361 or F2144

Upright Broiler $500 • Must utilize infrared burners

Business Energy Efficiency Rebate Program –

Kitchen Equipment

All kitchen equipment must be purchased new and installed in a

commercial kitchen.

It must replace existing, natural gas equipment used for the

same purposes.

Commercial Business customers only

Requires program evaluation and pre-approval before a rebate

can be offered to a customer

Customer-developed gas-savings calculations per project

May require a third-party provider to assist the customer

Project pre- and post- installation inspection and measurements

Rebates based on $0.75 or $1/therm saved

Professional contractor installation recommended

Installed and operational prior to requesting a

rebate

Required Documentation

When submitting a rebate application, customers

must include:

Complete application

Invoice noting:

Equipment identification and total cost

Proof of payment

Manufacturer specification sheet

If a tenant is applying for rebates they need to

include written permission from the property

owner
