Edward P. Allen DDS, PhD

Dr. Allen, recipient of the Master Clini-cian Award from the American Academy of Periodontology and the President’s Award from the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry for Excellence in Dental Education, is past president of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Restor-ative Dentistry and the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation. He currently serves as the Periodontal Section Editor for the

Jour-nal of Esthetic Dentistry and serves on the

Edi-torial Boards of the Journal of Periodontology and the International Journal of Periodontics

and Restorative Dentistry.

Lewis C. Cummings, DDS, MS

Dr. Lewis C. Cummings received his dental degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and a Mas-ters in Oral Biology with a certificate in Periodontics from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Cummings has a peri-odontal practice focused on dental implants in Kingwood, Texas and holds clinical associate professor positions with both the University of Texas Dental School at Houston and the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Lincoln, teaching soft tissue grafting and den-tal implants in the post-graduate programs.

Advanced surgical techniques in oral plastic surgery are presented in two comprehensive courses designed to enhance your esthetic results around teeth and implants.

You will learn microsurgical instrumen-tation and the latest minimally invasive surgical and suturing techniques developed by Dr. Allen using AlloDerm for soft tissue grafting around teeth and implants. Hard tissue implant site development tech-niques including the recently introduced SonicWeld technology and allogenic bone grafting are now included in the Implant Site Development course.
