Program Name – Bachelor of International Studies

Location - Mt Helen

In order to qualify for the degree of Bachelor of International Studies, a student must satisfactorily complete a total of 360 credit points including:

45 credit points (3 courses) in three of five core courses of the International Studies: • Compulsory Course:

Chosen from 21 diverse majors and minors across Arts, Business, Community and Human Services, Legal and Behavioural Sciences according to individual student’s professional aspiration.

The 21 majors and minors are:

Business/Legal - Business Law, Marketing, Management, Human Resource Management, Organisational

Management and Leadership, Applied Economics and Finance, and Criminal Justice (minor only). (See the Federation Business School for course options)

Arts - English/Literature, Media and Screen Studies, Indigenous Studies, History, Philosophy, Sociology and Writing.

Welfare and Behavioural Sciences - Community & Human Services and Psychology. Language Studies – Japanese

30 credit points taken from other courses offered within the Faculty; (Faculty Elective)

60 credit points of ELECTIVES taken from any recognized courses offered by the University and approved by the Faculty's Program Committee.

Note: if a student has chosen courses that are equal to, or more than, 150 credit points outside the Faculty, the student needs to select the electives within the Faculty.
