PRODUCTION CREDITS AS DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY OR CINEMATOGRAPHER 2004 - present The Last Days of Beijing Hutongs, HD, feature, documentary (work in progress)

Beijing’s Hutongs, the traditional city structure with a unique ancient architectural style dating back to the Yuan dynasty (1206-1341), have been fading into the shade and greatly destroyed after massive demolishing under the command of the Chinese government. This film explores the complexities of modernization and development in urban environments, and the effect it has on individual lives. The production of this film began in 2004 and finished by the end of 2008. It’s currently in postproduction and expected to be finished by December 2009.

2009 - present The Quiet Man – A Milestone or a Millstone? HD, feature, documentary (U.S. unit) (work in progress); directed by Sé Merry Doyle, produced by Loopline Film, Dublin, Ireland

John Ford’s personal take on his idealized vision of Ireland, The Quiet Man, is regarded as a cinematic milestone that has left a marked impression on the landscapes in which it was filmed. This documentary is intended to lift the lid on what The Quiet Man means for issues of identity in Ireland and what its legacy has been.The documentary will also delve into the story of the making of the film and will potentially feature contributions from well-known commentators and filmmakers, including Martin Scorsese, Jim Sheridan and Joseph McBride. This film is currently in postproduction and expected to be completed by March 2010.

2005 - present The Odyssey of Chinese Daughters, HD, feature documentary (work in progress), Each year, thousands of abandoned children, almost exclusively young girls cross the Parcific and make their journey from China to the United States, where they find new homes.The Odyssey of Chinese Daughters will piece together a portrait of East-West adoption through uncovering the intimate personal stories of four adopted Chinese girls and their American families, with further exploration of this particular

intersection between American and Chinese history.

The Spirit of Tibet is going to be an 86-page hardcover book, which contains 80 selected photographs from thousand of photographs that I took on five journeys in Tibet between 1993 and 2004. This book contains many photographs, including 20 photographs that won photography awards, previously published and exhibited in China and the U.S. Also included is a interactive multimedia DVD-Rom integrated with selected photographs, illustrations, Tibetan music, folk songs, video clips, and etc.
