The Venue and the Hotel
The meeting venue is situated at ‘ATExcelixi Training and Conference Centre’. Hotel accommodation has been arranged in ‘Kastri Hotel’, which is part of this centre. This place is located in the surroundings of Nea Erythrea, in the northern suburbs of Athens, approx. 20 km from Athens city centre and 3 km from Kifissia city centre.

Transportation
A. Getting to Athens by air
Athens International Airport (AIA) (http://www.aia.gr), also known as Eleftherios Venizelos, is situated 32 kms southeast of Athens. It is possible to fly directly from many European cities. From Airport to ATExcelixi Training and Conference Centre (Kastri Hotel) at Nea Erythrea:
A1. By suburban rail (also called ‘Proastiakos’) (see airport area rail location):
You take the suburban rail line from the airport* (every 15 min, see Timetable for ‘proastiakos’) with direction to ‘Neratziotissa’. Get off at ‘Neratziotissa’ station (approx. 21 min). Take the Metro Line 1 (Green line, operating by the company ‘ISAP’) with direction to ‘Kifissia’ and get off at ‘Kifissia’ metro station (end of Line, approx. 8 min), which is at the centre of Kifissia (see Map1).
From ‘Kifissia’ metro station, just outside, you can take a taxi to Kastri Hotel (3 km from the Kifissia metro station, approx. €6). Alternatively, you can walk about 5 min along the Adrianou street to reach the bus stop ‘Pl. Kifisias’ (Πλατ. Κηφισιάς) at Platanos square where you take any of the following local Bus Lines: A7, 507, 508, 509, 535, 536, or 560 towards Nea Erythrea (seeMap 2) (seeTimetable and bus stops for line A7). You get off at ‘Kastri’ bus stop; it is just outside the hotel/venue.

• Important Notes
1: At the airport, both the metro and suburban traindepart from the same platform. Attention is needed to take the suburban train line (‘proastiakos’) and not the metro.
2: You can use the suburban rail ticket to continue journey with any public transport (metro, buses) within 90 min from the time of its validation. Thus, there is no need to buy extra tickets to get to the final destination (Kastri).

A2. By Bus (see airport area bus location):
Athens International Airport is connected with Kifissia via public bus. Buses depart from the Arrivals level between doors 4 and 5. Take Express Bus Line X92 to Kifissia and get off at bus stop ‘Pl. Platanou’ (Platanos Square) (end of line) (see Map 1).Average traveling time 45 min, departures every 45-120 minutes (see Timetable and bus stops for X92). Buses run 24 hours.
From there, you cross ‘Leoforos Kifissias’ (Kifissias Avenue) (see Map 2) and take a taxi to Kastri (3 km, approx. € 6). Alternatively take a local bus from bus stop ‘Pl. Kifisias’ at Platanos Square where you take any of the following bus lines: A7, 507, 508, 509, 535, 536, or 560 towards Nea Erythrea (see Map 2) (seeTimetable and bus stops for line A7). A3. By Car
Six car rental companies currently operate at the Athens International Airport.
The main road access to Athens International Airport is Attiki Odos, a high-speed toll motorway (€ 2.70). Take Exit 11 and follow ‘Leoforos Kifissias’ (Kifissias Avenue) through Kifissia to Kastri (Nea Erythrea), where the venue/hotel are located.
A4. By taxi
The venue/ hotel is approx. 30 km from the airport. The cost of getting to Kastri hotel from the airport by taxi is about €30. If you have luggage you get charged a bit more.
Important note: Taxi drivers are obliged, upon request, to provide a receipt for the amount paid for transportation services.
B. Getting to Athens by train
All international and domestic trains to Athens stop at the Athens Central Railway Station (‘Larissa station’). Take metro line 2 (Red line), with direction to ‘Agios Antonios’, and get off at the next station ‘Attiki’. Here you take metro Line 1 (Green line, operating by ISAP) with direction to ‘Kifissia’, and get off at ‘Kifissia’ station (end of line) (see Map 1)
From ‘Kifissia’ metro station, just outside, you can take a taxi to Kastri Hotel (3 km from the Kifissia metro station, approx. € 6). You take the E75 Athens-Thessaloniki motorway. You exit the motorway at the Varimbobi exit and follow Ayion Saranta Street. At the junction with El. Venizelou Avenue, turn right towards Kifissia/Athens. The venue/hotel is two blocks down on the left side (see Map 3).
