Amend BD1710 Request for Proposal, Internet Service Provider, dated November 14th, 2014, as follows:
Questions and Answers are attached.

If your proposal has been submitted and you wish to amend it, please modify your proposal on company letterhead. The amended proposal must be received prior to the time and date set for the proposal opening. Each modification submitted to the District's Purchasing Office located at 780 Grant Street, must have Vendor’s name and return address and the applicable RFP number and title of the RFP clearly marked on the face of the envelope.
If more than one modification is submitted, the modification bearing the latest date of receipt by the District's Purchasing Office will be considered the valid modification.
This addendum must be acknowledged, whether or not you amend your proposal.

Internet Service Provider ADDENDUM NUMBER TWO
Q1. Will DPS be managing a BGP router to terminate each vendor connection?
A1. DPS maintains EBGP relations with Internet service providers via three routers in two
locations. These three routers are operated solely by DPS. In addition, DPS requires
that the EBGP relationships employ EBGP-multihop of at least 4 hops.
Q2. To confirm, would DPS expect to receive a default route via BGP from each carrier?
A2. Yes, DPS expects a default route form each directly connected Internet service
provider and discards any more detailed routes.
Q3. Would DPS consider Internet access that utilizes alternate DDoS mitigation strategies
excluding signature detection?
A3.
DPS is most concerned that the provider includes DDoS protection from Volumetric
attacks. We are not concerned whether their solutions uses or does not use specific
signatures. DPS is primarily seeking a provider capable of scrubbing a volumetric DDoS
attack prior to delivering the traffic to DPS. DPS does not have a preference of signature
versus non-signature DDoS protection but DPS will evaluate the effectiveness of
volumetric DDoS protection being proposed.
Q4. Does DPS maintain independent right of way entries at the location where Internet access
is desired?
A4. Yes, to the edge of the property line.
Q5. Please identify the “Data Center” locations where 100Mb-1Gb and 1Gb-10Gb incremental
pricing should be provided.
A5. PDC is 780 Grant. St., Denver, CO 80203 SDC is 3435 W. 40th Ave Denver CO
Q6. Is there a primary head site for the MAN where additional aggregation capacity is needed
for the MAN network?
A6. Headends at PDC and SDC requiring additional aggregation capacity.
Q7. The site list includes 152 sites, while DPS is housed in 189 buildings. Are there additional
locations which need to be added to the site list or is the current list complete at 152 sites?
A7. These numbers are best estimates.
Q8. What Multicast bandwidth is expected to be available across the MAN?
A8. DPS expects to use any amount of MAN available for multicast. No provisions made
for multicast bandwidth limits less than aggregate.
Q9. Our experience is that high bandwidth multicast is best implemented in a point-to-point
design (can be virtual). Is DPS seeking a point-to-point design, multi-point to multi-point design,
or a combination of both to support multicast and unicast transmissions?
A9. DPS requires point-to-multipoint connectivity that can be cross-connected at OSI
Layer two without consultation or coordination with vendor.
