Ace Contractors Group is a collection of companies providing a diverse portfolio of services to our clients since 1971. Our business lines are civil, infrastructure, landscaping, electrical, environmental, equipment and water services. These units combine to offer our clients an integrated service, mitigating interface risks.

Civil Services Pty Ltd

Earthworks and civil works associated with the construction of major roads, large commercial and industrial developments, schools, universities, hospitals, defence sites, correctional facilities, etc. Due to the large scale of the projects, ACE’s scope is often delivered via subcontract to construction companie. Scope elements include earthworks, roads, footpaths, drainage, car parks and lighting among others.

Equipment Services Pty Ltd

Hire of construction plant and equipment. ACE Group has a modern fleet of GPS/LPS controlled earthmoving plant (excavators, dozers and graders).

Landscape Services Pty Ltd

Construction and maintenance of major landscape projects, including commercial developments, municipal parks and gardens, sporting facilities, streetscapes and plazas, and landscape works associated with public infrastructure.

Infrastructure Pty Ltd

Design and construction of works for statutory authorities such as VicRoads, V/Line, PTV, VicTrack, councils and Department of Defence. Infrastructure projects include roads, bridges, shared paths, public open spaces, and bus/ tram/rail infrastructure.

Environmental Services Pty Ltd

Operation of waste transfer stations, active landfill disposal sites, and resource recovery facilities; landfill cell and leachate pond development; soil remediation; asbestos removal; and general environmental services to residential, industrial, municipal and commercial customers.

Water Services Pty Ltd

Design, manufacture and construction water and waste water infrastructure for water authorities. Works included pump stations, treatment facilities, water storage, channels, regulators, and meters.

Electrical Infrastructure Pty Ltd

Design, manufacture, installation, commissioning and servicing of

switchboards, motor control centre, high voltage switchyards, substations, PLC, control and SCADA systems. They also support other ACE companies with general electrical works and public lighting.

ACE has over 45 years of experience in earthworks and civil works associated with the construction of major roads, large commercial and industrial developments, schools, universities, hospitals, defence sites, correctional facilities, and the like. Due to the large scale of the projects, ACE’s scope is usually delivered via subcontract to tier one construction companies and builders. Typical scope elements include earthworks, materials handling, heavy duty pavements, roads, footpaths, drainage, car parks, lighting, signage, landscaping, and associated works.

ACE works within a highly regulated environment, meeting international and national standards. Additionally most clients have their own stringent specifications and requirements that ACE must meet. ACE is compliant with the Building Code 2016 and Fair Work Act 2009. We are members of the Master Builders Association, the Civil Contractors Federation and Landscaping Victoria. ACE has VicRoads prequalification for civil (road and bridge) construction (R4, B3, TGS and TMP) to financial level F75, for projects up to the value of $75M. We have reciprocal prequalification in most states (Vic, NSW, ACT, Qld, SA and WA) under the national prequalification system.

Many of our staff (PDs, PMs, PEs, Supervisors, foremen, etc) are rail industry trained and experienced, and have up to date Rail Industry Worker (RIW) cards. Ace has completed a significant training schedule to ensure sufficient resources are available.

ROAD SPILL

SNAKE BITE

1 WHEN AN EMERGENCY OCCURS

• Notify site supervisor

• Call 000 & send employee to front gate to guide emergency services • Lie bite victim down and ask them to keep still and clam • If on a limb apply an elasticised roller bandage 10-15 cm wide as

soon as possible

• Apply further bandages on affected limb starting above the fingers/ toes and moving as far up the limb as possible • Apply bandage as tightly as possible to the limb • Immobilise the bandaged limb using splints • Keep the patient lying down and completely immobilised • Document when the bite occurred, when the bandage was applied

and if possible the bite location

TRENCH COLLAPSE

• Stay calm maintain exclusion zone and remain in plant until service provider arrives

2 IN THE EVENT OF FIRE AND EMERGENCY EXIT IS REQUIRED

• Jump clear ensuring that you do not make contact with the plant and the ground at the same time

• When you jump ensure you land with your feet together and continue to jump/ shuffle with your feet together until minimum of 8 meters away from plant • Avoid contact with plant until power authority on site has given all clear • Do not enter the 8-meter zone until all clear

ACE was engaged by CPB Contractors for the construction of the Post Entry

Quarantine Facility project. This is the largest single contract ACE has won to date, at a value of circa $40M. This project is Commonwealth funded and will manage high risk imported animal and plant commodities. ACE delivered the civil and landscaping works across the site.

WATPAC CONSTRUCTION

Watpac, as part of the Learning Communities Victoria consortium, is delivering the $291M New Schools Project PPP for the Victorian State Government. The consortium will build and maintain 15 new government schools across Victoria, including primary, secondary and special schools, in addition to some community facilities. The schools will be located in the state’s fastest growing areas.

Each of the new schools will also function as a community hub, opening up access to a range of facilities for local families. The project will provide gyms, swimming pools, meeting spaces, adult learning spaces, and childcare facilities alongside world-class school facilities.

Ace is delivering civil and landscape construction at the following four new schools, as part of Tranche 1 and 2, for Watpac:

ACE has been engaged by the Greater Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust (GMCT) to undertake the Early Works Package associated with the development of the greenfield site, north of the existing Northern Memorial Park. Stage 1A includes the construction of approximately 1,400 monumental graves.

In April 2016, the Hon. Daniel Andrews MP, Premier of Victoria announced that the Andrews Labour Government will provide $48.2 million for this major redevelopment, with the Nature Parks contributing a further $10 million, for a total project cost of $58.2 million. the new Visitor Centre due to open in late 2019.

In addition to an enhanced visitor experience, this redevelopment will allow 6.7 hectares of habitat to be restored back to the island’s penguin colonies, with the Nature Parks better placed to achieve environmental outcomes by reducing impacts on penguins and increasing penguin habitat.

Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust (SMCT) is undertaking an extension to the Song He Yuan Section of Springvale Botanical Cemetery to meet a much needed demand for burial spaces. ACE has been contracted to undertake the early works package for the overall main works of the extension.
