Introduction
The integration of Modular Merchant with the Stone Edge Order Manager provides advanced order and inventory management functionality for your Modular Merchant shopping cart. The Stone Edge Order Manager streamlines the process of managing orders, customers, inventory, shipping, drop-shipping, credit card processing and other tasks involved in running a retail business. This User’s Guide describes the integration points, the steps you can take to get started and where to get support and find more information.
Overview
What Modular Merchant Provides
When your customers place an order in your Modular Merchant shopping cart, the order details are stored in the modular Merchant Administration area. One or more orders can be retrieved and printed for your records along with a customer invoice or packing slip.
What Stone Edge Provides
Stone Edge Order Manager allows you to automate and streamline the daily tasks of processing and fulfilling orders, tracking inventory and managing your customer information.
Integration Benefits

Orders placed in your store can be exported securely from your Modular Merchant shopping cart and delivered to the Stone Edge Order Manager when you are ready to import these orders for processing.
Inventory Management
As products are purchased in your Modular Merchant shopping cart, an inventory check can be performed; the quantity on hand of your inventory can be updated in real-time directly from the Order Manager.

Using the Stone Edge Order Manager with Modular Merchant
The following sections describe how to configure and use the integration points between Modular Merchant and the Stone Edge Order Manager.
Import Orders via the Internet Modular Merchant Settings
In order to communicate with Stone Edge, there is no additional setup needed within your Modular Merchant account area. Your Modular Merchant account is already configured with the option to communicate with Stone Edge.
Order Manager Settings
To configure the Stone Edge Order Manager to import from Modular Merchant, you will need to provide the Order Manager with settings related to your store.
Stone Edge Integration Guide Page 4 2. On the “Store Setup” screen, select the “Shopping Carts” tab.
Click the “Add Cart” button and supply the store information:
• Store Name: Any descriptive name for your Modular Merchant store.
• Cart ID/User Name: The login of your Modular Merchant Super Admin account. • Cart Password: The password of your Modular Merchant Super Admin account.
• Script URL: The web address of your Modular Merchant account’s “Stone Edge Integration” script. This will be your storefront URL plus “mod_stoneedge.php”.
For example: If your Modular Merchant storefront is: www.domain.com/store/, then your Script URL would be: www.domain.com/store/mod_stoneedge.com
Click the “Save and Exit” button. Enabling Internet Data Transfer
Enable Internet transfer of shopping cart information as follows:
• From the main menu click on “Maintenance Menu” and choose “Set System Paramters”. • In the “Parameter Group” window at the upper left select the option “Generic Carts”. • In the window below that select and set the following system parameters:
o GenericImportMethod – XML o GenericMaxOrderDownload – 150 o GenericOrderNumberType – Numeric
o GenericScriptVersionNumber – 1.0 (May change as MM updates the script version) o GenericUseAdvancedFunction – True

To import new orders from the Stone Edge Order Manager:
1. Click “Import Orders” at the Order Manager Main Menu and the “Import Orders form will appear. 2. Select the appropriate shopping cart.
3. Click “Import via Internet”.
4. If everything is set up properly, your orders will be downloaded and imported.
5. To open the View & Approve Orders form, automatically filtered to include only your new orders, click the “View Orders from Last Import” button.
Importing Product Data from Modular Merchant
Some merchants add product data directly in their store and later import this product data into the Stone Edge Order Manager. The easiest way to accomplish this is to import this product data directly via the Internet. To import product data from Modular Merchant:
1. In the Order Manager, open the “Shopping Cart Functions” by clicking the “Maintenance Menu”, then “Cart Functions”, then “Shopping Cart Functions”.
2. Select your shopping cat and click “Import Inventory”.
3. Select the appropriate options to tell the Order Manager how to handle new and existing data. 4. Click “Ok”.
