FULL PAPER GUIDELINES
1. Full paper must not been published and must not be being considered for publication elsewhere either in printed or electronic form.
2. Full paper must be written using high - quality language. For non-native English language authors, the article should be proof-read by a language specialist.
3. For text and tables, our preferred file format is Microsoft Word .docx (or .doc). Please include tables and figures as part of the full paper file. Tables must be editable and not embedded as an image.
4. Full paper should be prepared single column, double - spaced, with sufficient margins (3 cm) for editorial and proof - reader’s marks.
5. Full paper should be between 20-25 pages (to be considered for JSHRA), including figures and tables and the combined number of figures and tables should not exceed 10.
6. Research articles should include the following:
Title page: Title, author(s)’ names and corresponding author’s information, abstract (not more than 300 words), keywords (not more than 6 keywords)
Content: Introduction, methodology, results, discussion, conclusion, acknowledgement (if any) and references (APA6 style).
7. All full papers must be in English, use the Times New Roman font with the following font sizes
14 pt. bold for the title 11 pt. bold for author names 10 pt. for affiliations
11 pt. bold for section headings 11 pt. italic for subsection headings 11 pt. for content
11 pt. for table/figure names and contents 9 pt. for table sources, table references 9 pt. for footnotes
9. Citations of published literature in the text should be given in the APA6 (American Psychological Association version 6) Style. APA6 Style uses the author – date citation system. The sources cited in text must be listed alphabetically in the reference list. To insert a citation in text, include the author’s surname and year of publication.
One author: (Field, 2005) or Field (2005)
Two authors: (Smith & Field, 1984) or Smith and Field (1984)
Three to five authors:
First citation: (Ridwan, Hamid, & Aras, 2020) or Ridwan, Hamid, and Aras (2020) Subsequent citations: (Ridwan et al., 2010) or Ridwan et al. (2010)
Six or more authors: (Ridwan et al., 2006) or Ridwan et al. (2006)
Groups (readily identified through abbreviation) as authors:
First citation: (National Institute of Mental Health [NIMH], 2003) or National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH, 2003)
Subsequent citations: (NIMH, 2003) or NIMH (2003)
Groups (no abbreviation) as authors: (University of Pittsburgh, 2005) or University of Pittsburgh (2005)
To cite two or more works together, arrange the in-text citations alphabetically in the same order in which it appear in the reference list. The following are examples of citations that include more than one work in the same parenthesis.
- (Derryberry & Reed, 2005a, 2005b, in press; Rothbart, 2003a, 2003b)
- (Field, 2005; Gass & Varonis, 1984; Norris-Shortle et al., 2006; Tremblay, Richer, Lachance, & Cote, 2010)
10. The references section at the end of the manuscript should list all, only the references cited in the text in alphabetical order of the first author’s surname and no number in front of each reference. Titles of the journal or conference proceedings are not abbreviated. The following are examples of references in APA6 Style.
