Welcome to the Forex Nitty Gritty!
I want to personally congratulate you on the decision you made to invest
in the Forex Nitty Gritty. By investing in this program, you have shown
that you’re serious about learning how to trade the Forex markets. All of
my trading courses and programs are designed so you can learn at your
own pace, but I specifically designed the Forex Nitty Gritty as a series of
modules to take you from relatively little or no knowledge of Forex to a
position of power where you can make your own decisions around what
to do on every trade.
You may be tempted to skip ahead to future modules before fully
grasping or studying prior modules. After teaching thousands of students
all around the world since 2001, I’ve found that the best way to learn to
trade is to take your time, review, and only proceed to the next section
when you have a firm grasp of the current section.
Inside the Training
Here’s a list of everything that’s included with the Forex Nitty Gritty.
1. Quick Start Guide (this is what you are reading right now)
2. Module 1: Overview – This module gives you a broad overview of what to
expect in the Forex Nitty Gritty training.
3. Module 2: Forex Mechanics – This module will make you an expert in
the step-by-step mechanics of Forex trading, including the major Forex pairs, most active trading hours, price quotes, leverage & margin, how to calculate profit & loss, the different order types, buying & selling, Forex software, bar & candlestick charts, timeframes, how to place orders, how to choose a broker, and more.
4. Module 3: Trading Mechanics – In this module you’ll discover the
critical components of technical trading, including investing versus trading, fundamental versus technical analysis, indicators & technical tools, such as simple moving averages, stochastics, ADX, ATR, MACD, & Fibonacci; common price patterns such as head & shoulders, flags & pennants, triangles, tops & bottoms, 1-2-3 formation, key reversal, candlesticks & more.
5. Module 4: Good Trading Method Key Components – This module
breaks down the actual key components that every good trading method must have, including always knowing what to do, finding lower risk, higher probability trades, setup conditions, entry rules, initial stops, exit strategies, risk management, discipline & psychology, timeframes, and more.
6. Module 5: A Simple Trading Method – This module reveals a simple
trading method that automatically includes all the components of a good method. It’s a perfect first method for your trading “toolbox”; and, despite its simplicity, may even be more effective than more complicated methods you’re currently trading.
7. Module 6: When Not To Trade – Just as important as knowing when to

8. Module 7: Taking It Further – This module wraps up your beginning
journey into Forex trading as you learn the importance of multiple trading methods & why the most successful traders never stop learning, a review of the keys to a good trading method, and the logical “next steps” to consider in your quest for Forex independence.
9. Module 8: “Take It To The Bank” – This module introduces a more
advanced trading method called “Take It To The Bank”. I cover all the rules involved in trading the method you know exactly what to do, from entry to exit.
10. Module 9: “Take It To The Bank” Examples – This shows you several
Technical Information
Using the Forex Nitty Gritty videos should be relatively straightforward. However, please refer to this section if you are experiencing any technical difficulties.
The modules are “screen-capture” videos. These were recorded directly on my
computer and essentially let you see exactly what was on my computer screen, as well as hear my voice as I coach you through learning how to trade with the Forex Nitty Gritty.
The videos were recorded with a technology called Flash and will be displayed using your computer’s web browser. You do not need to be connected to the Internet to watch these videos. Most computers today have a web browser and also can play Flash.
Windows Computers
If you have a Windows computer (Windows 98, Windows XP, Windows Vista, etc.), the videos should start playing when you double-click on the corresponding “exe” file you downloaded from the Forex Nitty Gritty website.
If the video player opens, but you can’t see the video, you may need to install the latest version of the Flash Player. It’s a quick download, and it’s free. Make sure you’re connected to the Internet and go to www.profitsrun.com/flash - this will redirect you to the website where you can download the latest Flash player. Once you download the player, you may need to restart the tutorial.
If you can’t hear the audio on the videos, please make sure you computer’s volume is turned up.

How to Navigate the Modules
This screen is divided up into 3 main parts: The Menu, The Video, and the Video Controls, as seen below.
The Menu
The menu allows you to select which chapter on the video you want to view. The first chapter will automatically begin to play when you start the module. Just click on any chapter title to jump directly to that portion of the video.
The Video Controls
Forex Nitty Gritty Quick Start Guide Page 10 of 12 Just click on any portion of the video controls to take control of the video. Many students like to drag the slider bar across the time bar to jump around to any portion of the chapter they are viewing.
Fast Track to the Forex Nitty Gritty
There’s a lot of material in the Forex Nitty Gritty course. While it may seem daunting at first, don’t worry. It’s actually very easy to understand, especially if you do it the correct order.
Regardless of your trading skill level or experience, I recommend that you view the Forex Nitty Gritty materials in the following order.
1. Watch all the core modules. It’s important that you watch all the modules
in order. I intentionally cover a lot of background in the earlier modules that is critical to your understanding of subsequent modules. If you consider yourself an intermediate trader, you may want to skip ahead and start with Module 5. And if you’re a more experienced trader, you might want to start with Module 8. Some of the earlier modules may seem very basic to you if you’re experienced; however, I show you how most traders use this basic information so that you know what to avoid, which can automatically give you an edge over them.
2. Read the discipline & psychology reports. As a new trader, you may be
tempted to skip this material. However, if you feel that way then that’s a sure indication that you need this material more than ever. Too many traders learn the hard way, after many losing trades, that mastering discipline & psychology is just as important (if not more important) than the actual trading techniques they use in the markets.
3. Watch the Ultimate Success Toolkit videos. These extra training videos
showcase some bonus trading concepts you should incorporate into your trading routine. Make sure you review them until you can understand the concepts presented.
After you’re finished with the Forex Nitty Gritty training, you’ll have a firm
