SIP Trunking and
your telephone system.
Our SIP trunking services, delivered via our partners have been conformance tested with all of the UK’s IP PB
manufacturers. Should you be investing in SIP services and a replacement telephone system concurrently, we have developed a preference for Mitel systems, due to their flexibility and robustness but we also supply Avaya, Shoretel and NEC systems. Disaster recovery
and service resilience
By operating with multiple PBX’s, each at a separate site and each with its own connection, you will always have service availability. Should one site go down, your inbound and outbound calls can automatically be rerouted to the second site in an instant and without any prohibitive call forwarding charges. With this set up, you can also share the load on inbound calls to two or more sites. Alternatively, you may wish to use your existing ISDN line as a back up.
For absolute resilience, when combined with our inbound services, your SIP trunking can be used to provide a solution with 100% uptime. In the unlikely event that all of your SIP trunking services are unavailable, you can still instantly re-route your
inbound calls to any destination by redirecting calls to your number of choice through our secure online portal.
Multi site rationalisation
For those operating across multiple sites, introducing SIP as an alternative to localised ISDN will result in reduced line rental and maintenance charges. In this instance, remote sites connect into the centralised PBX, leaving you with just the cost of an IP connection and handsets.
Business relocation
SIP trunking provides the ultimate in
number flexibility. When using SIP trunking, Businesses can relocate premises and retain their existing phone numbers. This not
only provides continuity of service to your Customers but also saves money on printed literature.
If you are new to SIP Trunking, we can easily transfer your old or existing numbers so that you avoid expensive call forwarding or diversion charges.

What about call quality?
Call quality when using SIP is quite simple.
It’s all about bandwidth.
Basically, the audio quality of calls when you use SIP is wholly reliant on your infrastructure’s capacity to carry your call traffic volume.
Providing you have sufficient bandwidth available through your IP connection on site to support the number of concurrent calls you require – you’ll enjoy consistently excellent standard of voice quality.
