Teaching and outreach experience
I am very enthusiastic about teaching. In ISDC I supervised and co-supervised several third and fourth year physics students during their research projects on X-ray studies of AGN and Galactic black holes. I gave several seminar lectures to graduate and undergraduate students of the Department of Astronomy of Kyoto University on high energy astrophysics. I have been involved in a large number of outreach activities, and gave lectures of general astronomy to elementary and middle schools in Italy, and in high schools in Japan. I am the co-founder of the “Active Galactic Nuclei” group on Facebook, a space to discuss scientific matters related to AGN, and dedicated
exclusively to researchers working in the field. The group has currently more than 350 members from all over the world.
