Cat Catcher, the robot dog pacified all civilized cats at the end of the original Cat City film (1986) and as a result of this cats and mice live a peaceful co-existence. How can you carry on from this point? There remained an unpacified cat tribe in the Pafrican Jungle. They learn about the fate of their kinscats from a busy bee journalist mouse called Stanley who is captured by blood-mice and hunter cats at the end of his successful expedition to find Livingstone in the jungle. The jungle cats evoke the first deputy chief of hell, Moloch and they set out with him to put the world back to order. Whether they succeed in this or not remains unanswered until one watches CATcher – Cat City 2.

Zsuzsi has the prefect life: by thirty she has a great job, two degrees, a nice car and a place of her own. One day, however, the young professional wakes up realizing that something is wrong… She can’t breathe and her heart is racing. After her lover Kirill dumps her she admits herself to the „Panic Clinic”. She finds herself under the care of an overambitious therapist, who uses strange treatments on her and the other patients. Eventually, Zsuzsi’s highest asperation is to find the ability to leave the clinic, open the gate, get out and rejoin society. Outside the Clinic all is „normal”: Zsuzsi’s mother, Elli and her friend, Ilona (two middle aged divas) embark on a shopping spree looking for adventure. Ilona’s daughter has a newborn baby yet is consumed with anxiety over motherhood. Zsuzsi’s brother wants to free his mother Elli from an evil body snatching alien – at the point of a gun. The supercops quarell endlesly over their homosexual identities – and eventually come to blows. Zsuzsi must choose – either remain anxious for the rest of her life or get herself together and start anew.

David is king of life, media darling, tabloid star, and not least „the most wanted bachelor in Budapest.” Nowadays everyone seems to forget about the fact that once he was a writer. For all his life, David’s been surrounded by women. He lives his life constantly on the move, with two suitcases, avoiding all forms of dependance. Until today – when his rich girlfriend leaves for good, and his publisher sues him for failing to deliver a new book in three years. David is in instant need of money. The enchanting executive of the publishing company brings him to an ultimatum: if he manages to write a book within 10 days, he’ll get his money and reputation back. She even offers the topic: Why are there so many lonely young women in nowdays? David's farthest desire was to dive into the dizzy love affairs with singles. But as his living depends on this job, he reluctantly accepts the job. This is how he gets into the terrifying situation – for the first time in his life – where he has to listen to and under-stand what women tell him. He meets 10 women in 10 days, and before he realizes what is going on around him, he’s life as he know it would never be the same again.

The heroes of our film live on an idyllic, little planet in a neighbouring solar system. Egon is an ever so slightly eccentric, amateur ‘rocket scientist’ assisted in his endeavours by a clumsy, and decidedly overfed, catlike creature called Dönci. Their simple existence becomes suddenly complicated when an unidentified object flies into their lives (Voyager-3) with a message from Earth. Egon decides that there is only one thing to do and that is to establish contact with this distant civilisation….
The fundamental and unavailable philosophy of this animated adventure is a singularly simple one: the complete and total avoidance of aggression in any form whatsoever. The loveable characters at the centre of events never knowingly harm another living being. Although they often get battered and bruised, it is only as a result of their own hapless antics. Egon and Dönci never speak on screen and so all communication that takes place between them is achieved by a series of childish mimes and simple sounds.

Benedek Fliegauf’s goal was to make a psychedelic film that, similarly to the ambient musical style, allows the viewer to receive the film on various levels and does not force any concrete interpretation. Reception of a film in this manner creates a kind of metaphysical experience, which fits directly into Fliegauf’s hypnotic-transcendent world, familiar from his earlier films Forest and Dealer. In addition to being the first example of an ambient film genre, it may also be considered a work of fine art, which can be presented independently in the galleries of the world.

Is life really over after the age of 70? For most, the answer is yes. But for the film’s two retired protagonists it’s only just beginning.
Emil and Hédi took all kinds of slaps in the face from life during their 50 years of happy togetherness. They are happy but poor. One glorious day, Emil decides to stop it all and leaves his council house that is threatened by debt collectors. He sits behind the wheel of his old car and leaves to rob – gently and politely – the first post office he comes accross. After his next – gas station – robbery he has two out-of-town investigators hot on his heels. The work of the police – talented Ági and the hot-headed Andor is overshadowed by the fact that Andor got intimate with a prostitute at a wild stag party. They try to set a trap for Emil by using Hédi but during the confrontation Hédi runs away with her husband and they set out on a journey that makes them both feel free and gives them the chance to live out everything they dreamed of in their youth. With the police partners after them, they find shelter with an old friend who pulls them into trying something much bigger…

Dora, a successful dramatist, has had one disastrous relationship after another and is through with men. She decides to have a child on her own and starts to look for an appropriate donor. Her best friend is an actress and has plenty of men problems of her own. She talks Dora into putting an ad in the paper. The plan is very simple: Dora chooses the suitable man, spends a night with him, does what needs to be done, then life goes on. But the candidates make her even more disillusioned so she is forced to change her clinical approach. A handsome actor joins the company for Dora’s latest stage adaptation. She is not exactly impressed by what she sees at the beginning but as time goes by a very different feeling starts to blossom in their relationship. Is Dora going to stay with her original plan or accept her feelings and give men one more chance?

Wearing overalls and a baseball hat, he seems insignificant. Doing night shifts, Zsolt hardly contacts his employers, yet he learns everything about them by thoroughly analyzing their rubbish.
Being almost invisible, nobody suspects that Zsolt is in fact a con man who carefully chooses his victims by the trash they leave behind. His targets are mostly disillusioned, lonely women with whom Zsolt gets involved with. In a few months he takes all their romantic illusions away by doing them out of all their savings. Having an unusually high IQ, a great sense of humor and an ability to put on various personalities, Zsolt is an artist in manipulation.
When he gets a job at a psychologist’s office, Zsolt meets Hanna, a thirty-years old injured dancer who happens to be the daughter of a millionaire. Being insecure, lonely and vulnerable, Hanna is the perfect victim for Zsolt. He pretends to be a doctor who can cure her body and soul, an irresistible offer for the desperate woman. Everything goes according to plan until Zsolt for the first time in his life falls in love. He has to make a hard decision between Hanna and the money, but is he really capable of any true emotions or has he already gone too far?
The Chameleon is a suspenseful drama about an extremely gifted young man whom the lack of love turns into a psychopath. A psychopath who is very likeable and vulnerable, but at the same time he is very dangerous.
