Com ments: Students have indicated on the Student lnterest Survey an ongoing interests in cross-country, tennis, and sw im m ing and diving. School personnel were advised to address these interests form allyr docum ehting the attem pts and their results.

Tennis was a pad of the athletics program at the tim e of the original on-site visit. Subsequent w ater dam age to the couds rebulted in discontinuation of the spod.

Scheduling of X The school has m et the requirem ents for Gam es and scheduling girls' basketball hom e games for Practice Tim e the 2010-201 1 season. Use of the gym is

during the season. Usage chads did not delineate gym use for volleyball', however no conflict regarding scheduling was reported by No w ritten policy was found that outlined the process of scheduling and approval of com petitive schedules. Coaching X A review of coaching stipends showed no discrepancy in the am ount of com pensation paid to coaches of Iike-spods. Differentials

am ong coaches appeared to be the result of

base salaries for teaching, which are based on Ievels of experience and certifidation. In so far as salary w@s an indication of experience, it experienced than those for fem ale team s.

Since the original on-site visit there has been

an attrition of fem ale coaches. It is recom m ended that an em phasis be placed on

providing m ore fem ale coaches.

It was noted that financial assistance for coaches' attendance at state tournaments w as outlined in the school's coaching guidelines',

hoF ever no stipends for professional

developm ent of coaching skills were recorded. If coaches of m ale sports have m ore experience than those for female spods, it is recom m ended that com pensated professional developm ent oppodunities be provided for the less experienced coaches.

Com petitive The softball dressing area had individual Facilities clothes hooks and shelving in Iieu of lockers.It

is recomm ended that individual Iockers or sim ilar arrangem ent be provided which provides security and privacy for personal belongings.

It is recomm ended that contrasting coloring be applied to the outfield fence on the softball field to im prove visual acuity and safety for players. A green w indscreen was suggested.

Medical and X The school does not have a training room . Training Facilities School personnel repoded having a volunteer m edical professional on contract to provide

The weight room is accessible to aII athletes.

School personnel were advised to provide equipm ent m ore suitable fof use by female athletes and for m iddle school players. ln addition, it was suggested that m otivational am enities be added to the walls to encourage padicipants in aIl sports.

No w ritten policy was found on the selection and assignment of cheerleaders, though the form subm itted on Publicity-support groups. Form T-73 for the re-visit reflected equitable practices used by school personnel for these purposes.
