Terms and Conditions of Hire
Full payment and credit card details (for deposits) are taken at the time of ordering equipment. Credit &
debit cards only. We do not take cheques for equipment hire. We can take BACS details, but will require credit card details for deposits.
No equipment will be hired without credit/debit card details given in advance to Epicurus.
Card details will be destroyed once we have checked your order back into stock. We charge replacement
costs for all breakages, missing stock and missing or damaged packaging. Substitute stock will not be accepted.
Credit will be extended to regular customers who have agreed to Epicurus Terms and Conditions of Hire.
Credit terms are 30 days from date of invoice.
All prices quoted in the price list are plus VAT at the current rate.
All hired items including all packaging remain the property of Epicurus and the hirer shall have no rights to the
items other than that of the hirer. Failure to return any packaging supplied will incur replacement charges in all cases.
The hirer is responsible for all hired items from the point of delivery until the point of collection by Epicurus
staff. Shortages, breakages and damage to hired items will be charged for at full replacement cost. The hirer will be notified of shortages, breakages, and damage once all equipment has been checked back in. Replacement charges will then be invoiced/deducted from any deposits held by the company. Substitute items will not be accepted.
Times of delivery & collection are approximate, we will aim to give you an hour ‘window’. Epicurus will not be
held responsible for late delivery due to adverse road conditions or for reasons beyond our control.
The hirer is solely responsible for checking the hired items on delivery and shall immediately notify Epicurus by
telephone within 3 hours of any discrepancies between hired items supplied and those ordered, or of any hired items received broken or damaged. Complaints made after the return of the hired items will not be considered.
It is a condition of supply that in the absence of evidence to the contrary, our count of the hired items at our
premises before delivery & after return of the equipment is final. All orders are counted twice before leaving and twice on return to stock.
It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure they have adequate insurance to cover loss, theft, damage and public
liability etc.
Third party invoicing will not be entertained.
Epicurus reserves the right to change stock items and price lists as it sees fit.
Linen should never be returned to us damp in plastic bags. This causes mildew to occur and you will be
charged for new cloths. Please allow linen to dry before packing ready for collection.
If there is anything in this list you cannot find, please ask us as we are always adding to our extensive range.

Charges & Hire Durations
Hire durations are as follows;
Prices are for one days hire returned clean or dirty as quoted. We would deliver the day before and collect the day after your event. A weekend is classed as a one day hire (deliver Friday collect Monday). Each additional day after the first day is charged at 50% of the equipment hire rate. See list for rates.
Linen charges include laundering costs.
We can supply staff to set up and break down our equipment on your behalf. See list for prices.
All items not returned by the due date will attract continued charges (as detailed above) until returned.
Delivery & collection is available and charges can be sought through the office. To save costs, equipment
can be collected from our premises.
