Welcome
to the Scheepvaartmuseum and the 11th North Sea History Conference in
Amster-dam. At the conference it will be discussed to what extent global, regional and local
factors have shaped maritime labour in and around the North Sea region and what
effect migration of seafarers had on the communities they left behind or joined.

Het Scheepvaartmuseum has pre-booked rooms at the Lloyd Hotel. These rooms
will be held for conference delegates until 1st June 2014. Price including breakfast
is € 170 for a 4-star room, € 140 for a 3-star room and € 120 for a 2-star room, excl.
5.5% city tax per night.
