Training and Certification
How to use this guide
The Sophos Training and Certification Program gives our partners the tools and knowledge
to successfully sell, demo, deploy, support and service Sophos products.
To avoid the need for repetition, there are prerequisites in place that must be met prior to starting the next level of training. For example, in order to begin the UTM Architect Course, trainees must first complete the UTM Engineer Course.
This guide will provide you with an overview of the courses and modules that are available for each level of training, as well as highlight the amount of time we expect trainees to take to complete each level. Throughout the guide, it’s clearly marked where prerequisites are needed. Some courses require trainees
to pass two assessments. In this case both assessments are listed and trainees should be aware that both assessments need to be taken and passed to complete the course.
There are also two suggested certification paths included that provide an example of how a trainee might work through either a sales track or a technical track.

Please Note: The path above shows the steps required to complete each level of the Sophos Technical Training.
Keeping your Sophos product
knowledge up to date
On completion of a product course, partners are certified on a stated major version of
that product. Each time a new version of the training is released (in line with product
releases) Delta Training Modules will also be released. Delta modules can be found
in each respective Engineer and Architect product course. These modules contain an
overview of the new features and functionalities of the current version in comparison
to the previous version.
Partners will not lose their certification.
However, they should note that in order to retain their partner level within the Sophos Partner Program, they will need to show that they have a current level of knowledge on the products.

Benefits: Keep up to date with the latest features and functionalities of a product without having to revisit the full course.
Requirements: Complete each relevant Delta Training Module to keep certifications current. Prerequisites: Sophos Engineer or Sophos Architect course in chosen product. Not required for Sophos Certified Sales Consultant.
