If the button does not reflect your operating system, click this link to find your computer's OS. The page should detect the operating

Installing the Citrix Receiver Client for Macs
You can use Citrix Virtual Lab applications either through MyMarshall using the Web App or by using the Citrix Receiver Client. This guide covers installing and using the Citrix Receiver Client on a Mac computers.The Citrix Virtual Lab allows Marshall faculty, students, and staff to use most applications installed on Marshall lab computers and instructor stations from home or another remote location. It is useful when you need to use an
application which is not installed on your home PC / Mac or would like to access your network drive remotely. Note that the applications are not actually downloaded to your home PC -- computing takes place on Marshall servers; however, from your perspective, it appears as though you are running the applications on your own PC. Applications appear on your screen; you can manipulate them using your mouse and keyboard; and you can open & save files. Please note that Citrix contains most Marshall Lab Applications but not all. If there is a Marshall Lab Application you need Citrix access to, please make a request of the Marshall Help Desk to put the application on Citrix. The Marshall Help Desk can be

4. At the License Agreement click "Continue".
5. Click "Agree".
6. To proceed with the standard installation, click "Install".
7. Depeding upon your computer's security settings, you may be prompted to type the administrator name and passwordyou’re your computer. Once typed, click "OK".
Logging into and Using the Citrix Receiver Client Desktop
The Citrix Receiver client should now be installed on your computer. If this is the first time you have used it, your first task will be to place the applications you wish to use on the Citrix Receiver Desktop. Once there you can begin accessing them.
You are now logged into the Citrix Receiver client. Your next step is to add the application(s) you wish to use to the Receiver Desktop.
1. Click the Citrix Receiver button and select "Open Citrix
Receiver".
(This will be your access point to running the Citrix Receiver.)
2. At Enter your work email or
server address, type: apps.marshall.usc.edu
3. Click "Next".
4. At Domain\User, type your Marshall username prceeded by
marshall.edu\ __________
For example, user "ttrojan" would type: marshall.edu\ttrojan 5. Type your Marshall password. 6. Click "Log On".
(See the next page for important information on how to avoid losing your work!)
Use this menu to add any apps you plan on using either now or in the future to the Receiver
Desktop. (You can add more later too – it's not a one time offer.) 8. Click a category then click the
app(s) you would like to add to the Receiver Desktop.
Important Information About Saving - Please Read to Avoid Losing Your Work!!!
Citrix creates virtual drives that will not retain your files once you end your Citrix session. You should never save to the virtual drives. Unfortunately, it is a little tricky telling the difference between Citrix virtual drives and your actual drives. Note that it is always safe to save to a memory stick and if you are a faculty or staff member it is safe to store to your N drive. See the illustration below to see where it is and is not safe to save to.SAFE LOCATIONS – FACULTY AND STAFF
If you are a Marshall faculty or staff member it is safe to store to your personal N drive, the shared Z drive, or one of your departmental drives.
UNSAFE LOCATIONS – DO NOT SAVE HERE!
These are virtual drives. Do not save to them when working within a Citrix application. It will appear to work and even allow you to open saved files but when you end your Citrix session the files you saved will cease to exist.
Note you can specify save access under "Preferences" within the Citrix Receiver icon.
SAFE LOCATIONS – All USERS
These are all safe locations to save files to. Generally, if a drive contains the word "on" it is an actual drive and is safe to save to.
