This course provides all the preparation you need for the American Academy of Professional Coders’ Certified Professional Coder (CPC) examination.

Gain the skills to make your job easier

Get a solid foundation in coding principles, including proper coding manual usage, and gain the skills you need to tackle any coding challenge that comes your way.

intensive learning format.

HANDS-ON LEARNING

During the course, you will complete approximately 500 coding exercises, including a 150-question practice CPC exam and numerous operative reports. You’ll also receive a printed answer key for all exercises, including the practice exam.

LIVE INSTRUCTION

All classes are taught by an experienced, highly credentialed, live instructor. No computer-based instruction or videotapes are used.

SMALL CLASS SIZE

We limit the number of course participants in order to retain a low participant-to-teacher ratio. This allows us to provide individual instruction as needed when course participants find a topic to be particularly challenging.

STUDENT-DRIVEN

At the conclusion of the course, we ask all course participants to complete an evaluation, which we carefully review for feedback and course enhancement.

HIGHLY RATED

Course participants consistently give the course an overall rating of 4.5 or higher (on a 5.0-point scale).

WELL-ESTABLISHED PROGRAM

We currently conduct more than 50 Certified Coder Boot Camp®—Original

Version courses each year.

With all other factors being equal, 68% of employers reported that they would choose a credentialed candidate over one who is not, and 53% preferred credentials when promoting their employees, the report found.

Course participants who take the exam must pay a separate exam fee (currently $260, payable directly to the AAPC), and must be AAPC members. Certified Coder Boot Camp®participants may join the AAPC as student

members (currently $70, payable directly to the AAPC). Course participants who pass the CPC exam within 60 days of taking the course will be awarded CEU units. Information about registering for the exam and joining the AAPC will be sent out upon receipt of your course registration. Please do not send payment for the exam or your AAPC membership fee with your course registration. If you choose not to take the exam, you may take it later through your local AAPC chapter. Visit www.aapc.com for details.

“I enjoyed the Boot Camp—I now understand medical coding a lot more and would

recommend this course to anyone who is very interested in coding. The class was intense

the first two days, but with the help of the instructors and fellow classmates, things seemed

to work out, and you understand. Plus, you make friends during the course of the week.”
