TRANSPORTATION FROM/TO THE AIRPORT

FROM/TO ROISSY/CDG

Located 23 kilometers north east of Paris, the Roissy/Charles de Gaulle airport has two terminals, the second of which is split into terminals 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E and 2F.

- RER B combined with a free CDGVal LRT shuttle service (more details on website)

- Roissybus: a special bus service that links the Airport and “Opéra” metro station, in Paris, within an average travelling time of 45mns, this depending on the traffic situation

- RATP Bus service

FROM/TO ORLY

Located 14km south of Paris, the Orly airport has two terminals: West and South.

- RER C combined with a free PADP shuttle service (more details on website)

- Orlybus: a special bus service to Denfert-Rochereau, in the 14th arrondissement of Paris

THE AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICE

You can also use a shared or personal service to anywhere in Paris. Arrange your pickup in advance - the Airport Shuttle will be waiting for you when you arrive. And waiting to bring you back to the airport when you depart at the end of your stay.

The most economical way of travelling around Paris and its suburbs.

Specific RER stations now serve both airports directly. Trains leave every 15 minutes during the hours of 5.30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m. to downtown.

TAXIS

Parisian Taxis generally charge you with an extra fee when you book in advance. This fee is related to the route done from their point of departure to the place where they will be picking up their customer.

In order to avoid any financial inconvenience, it is important that you are already aware of the most economical route to your hotel.

UNEP BUILDING

The UNEP office is located in the UNESCO Headquarters Annex, in the 15th arrondissement (southwestern Paris). The main entrance is at 1 rue Miollis. Some meetings are held at the UNESCO Headquarters building at 7 place Fontenoy, less than a 10-minute walk away.

Practical Access Information

Upon arrival at UNESCO’s security desk in Miollis building, kindly present an ID and indicate the name of the person you wish to visit to the security staff. They will direct you to the welcome desk.

The reception desk is open from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The reception staff will call the person you wish to visit and direct you to the UNEP building. This map will help you find your way from the reception desk to the UNEP building.

Upon arrival at the UNEP building (building VII), please kindly check the phone directory in the entrance hall in case you would need to find the phone number and/or office number of your correspondent. You may use the phone at your disposal in the entrance hall to call and inform of your arrival.

The main meeting room is located on the ground floor. You can access it from the entrance hall, directly on your right after entering the building.

Directions:

Go left after the reception desk.

Turn left then right

following the sign ‘Bâtiment Bonvin/ Sortie Bonvin’. Go straight ahead, then turn right after going past the mailbox.

Exit the building by turning right.

The UNEP Building is located after the courtyard right next to the Church.

There are many public fee-paying parking spaces near UNESCO, both underground and surface, indicated by a sign with a white P on a blue background.

BANK SERVICE

Société Générale: UNESCO has its own Bank service in both buildings: Fontenoy and Miollis. In the Fontenoy Building, the bank opens from 9:30 a.m. to 12:15 a.m. and from 1.15 p.m. to 5.15 p.m. There is a cash withdrawal machine available open at all times.

Other Agencies nearby UNESCO: BNP Paribas (going to metro Cambronne), La Poste (Post Office – 8 rue François Bonvin), etc.

All participants are requested to wear the badge they receive upon registering in the most visible manner possible. This badge must be shown at the entrances of all buildings and at security checks.
