Where information has been made available, we have been able to include a bespoke, “in your own words” description of a company’s business activities, supplementing the industry classification. Date of establishment Number of employees. These are mostly estimates, being the mean figure of an employee range confirmed by multinational subsidiaries in the course of research. Where multinational companies have confirmed actual employee size, this figure has been given. Annual Sales Revenue. A standard methodology is used to derive all local sales estimates on the database. Having confirmed a mulitinational company’s group sales per capita, this figure is multiplied by the company’s local employee size at a given subsidiary location. Where multinational subsidiaries have confirmed actual local sales figures, these have been given. Parent head office. Includes full contact details. Company entries are listed alphabetically by company name. The Directory features five indices, three of which list subsidiaries by company name, industry classification and nationality, and a fourth and fifth by regional and parent head offices.. Methodology. The Multinational Companies in the UAE 2010 Directory has been researched and collated by directly contacting all listed companies by questionnaire, telephone, fax and e-mail.
