Assignments
1. Audio Assignments.
Due date for all audio assignments is each FRIDAY by 11:59 p.m. Central. When taping/recording your
assignments, do not repeat the questions, but be sure to answer in complete sentences.
All missing assignments must be posted before taking exams, and all exams must be taken to pass the
course. Since learning a language is cumulative (like math), you must submit each week’s assignments
before you move on to the next week.
You can record in any way you prefer according to your computer. Please use mp3, .m4a, .wma or .wav
format.
Note: To record, many students are using their phones. They tape/record one activity at a time, send the files to
their email, label and save the activities, and then upload them to Blackboard.
Another way is to purchase a microphone, tape/record the audio activities directly on the computer, label and save
them, and finally upload to Bb.
2. Written Assignments. Your assignments reflect your ability to articulate your thoughts in writing. Be mindful
of your spelling (including accents), punctuation, presentation, and organizational skills when writing. Be sure to
answer all exercises in complete sentences. Post your written assignments on a Word document. The due date for
all written assignments is each FRIDAY by 11:59 p.m. Central time.
Lectures: At the beginning of each week, there will be a handout posted under “Class Notes”. It will explain the
weekly objectives for that week.
3. Discussions on Cultural Topics:
Discussion in this course is a forum for learning new aspects about Hispanic culture. Discussion topics are due on
FRIDAY by 11:59 p.m. Central. On Week 1, post a brief BIO. On Weeks 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, the instructor will post the
topic. Make sure you post not just your opinion or personal experience, but support your ideas with appropriate
reference and research. It will be very helpful if you post a summary of the topic (do not post just a link).
Respond at least one time to a classmate posting. Note: As the purpose of discussions is for everybody to read
and comment on your postings, do not wait to post until Friday afternoon/night, when everybody have
already posted and commented on.
Your contribution to the weekly discussions should consist of at least one paragraph. Points will not be given for
responses such as, “Very interesting!” “Thanks for sharing.” or “I agree.” Missing topics cannot be made up—no
one reads postings from previous weeks. . See below how to submit the assignments:
1-Click on Weekly Lessons. 2-Click on the week you are working on. 3.-Click on Assessments
4- Click on the title of the assignment you are submitting (It will be in black print, underlined).
