Issue: Communication

• Dr. Denise Maguire was introduced to the Sarasota-Manatee Nursing Education g

Consortium at the June and July meetings.

• Although her teaching schedule did not permit her to attend the Fall 2007 meetings, she has regularly attended meetings this spring.

Issue: Course Delivery

• Blended courses are again being offered in the RN to BS program & 3 courses are being taught p g g g live at USF S-M or MCC.

– Enrollment was higher in web courses. – Only 4 enrolled in live pharmacology.

• Students can mix and match the on-line program with the blended courses if they choose.

Issue: Clinical Nurse Leader

• The CNL program is now on hold for new admissions, due to low enrollment.

– Hospitals each have a different interpretation of the role, and many are not employing the CNL.

• Core Courses are being taught face-to-face on the Sarasota Manatee Campus via video
