BACK IN TIME IN BUDAPEST

On arrival into Budapest, our cherry-picked local guides whisk us back in time in a classic 60s old timer bus. First stop – ‘Buda’ side, the city’s historical district on the top of Castle Hill where guests enjoy a private Champagne welcome on the terrace of the famous Fisherman’s Bastion, (one of the most exclusive spots in Budapest) whilst taking in panoramic views over the city. After a short stroll through the historical district, guests enjoy a casual private lunch in the secret garden of Pierrot Restaurant located within the walls of a 13thcentury

building, serving delicious Hungarian cuisine with excellent service. After lunch, guests continue to explore the hidden treasures of the quarter and be served the Hungarian speciality, Palinka (fruit brandy) by servers dressed in traditional costume. It’s then time to head to our lodgings – the majestic Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest – for a private check in and time to settle in at leisure. Centrally located and at the end of the renowned Chain Bridge, the elegant hotel enjoys an incredible vista of the Danube and the hills of Buda. Come evening we take a short walk to a private boat for a cocktail reception on the top deck while cruising along the Danube. Once the sun has set, it’s time to head below deck for a delicious three course meal and fine wines, taking in the stunning night views of Budapest, the Pearl of the Danube. After dinner it’s a short stroll back to the hotel for a night cap or two.

GOURMET TOUR BY E-SCOOTER

After a sumptuous buffet breakfast, we head out for a morning of exploration around the bustling downtown of ‘Pest’ on e-scooters. After a short briefing, helmets are on and we’re off taking in the stunning sights of the city.

Along the way we stop at the famous Hungarian Coffee House, Gerbeaud Café, to sample their selection of Hungarian mini cakes. We finish at the Great Market Hall, where a

gourmet tour begins at Fakanál Restaurant with a spicy taste of renowned Goulash Soup. Then, it’s time to take the panoramic tram #2 to the Strudel House where guests will not only taste the delicious Hungarian Strudel but will also learn how to make it. The final stop of the gourmet tour is Domus Vinorum, for a private Hungarian wine tasting in the cellars before heading back to the hotel for some time to relax. This evening guests will transfer to the vibrant ruin bars for dinner at EXTRA to immerse themselves in local city life. Located in the former Jewish Quarter, the Ruin Bar District has become a popular attraction in Budapest. Built in abandoned buildings once left to decay after World War II, EXTRA has a trendy and unique interior design with a fantastic atmosphere. After dinner, guests can continue their evening with an organised bar crawl visiting many of the fashionable ruin bars and finishing at Dobaz, a fantastic ruin bar night club where bottles and mixers will be ready and waiting in the VIP area and the party can continue until the early hours of the morning.

COCKTAILS ON THE ROOFTOP GARDEN

After a late night, we recommend a long leisurely breakfast, before meeting to transfer to the Széchenyi Bath in the City Park, one of Europe’s largest thermal-bath complexes with 15 indoor baths and three grand outdoor pools. On arrival, guests receive robes for access to the Palm House, an exclusive treatment area within the baths – the perfect place to chill out and clear sore heads from the night before. Fully relaxed, we head round the corner to lunch at Robinson Restaurant.

Located by the charming Varosligeti Lake, guests can enjoy a casual al fresco lunch on the terrace overlooking the park. Later that evening, a final supper calls. We take a short walk to High Note Skybar located atop the luxury 5 star Aria Hotel. As the sun sets over the Budapest skyline, cocktails are served, before sitting down for dinner in the Pavilion with a

spectacular view of the famous St. Stephen’s Basilica. With excellent cuisine, great service and a sophisticated but relaxed vibe, High Note Sky Bar will be a memorable evening for all. Guests can continue with cocktails on the Sky Bar terrace after dinner, then stroll back to the hotel at leisure.

A FAREWELL LUNCH

After a relaxing morning and time to enjoy the hotel facilities or to take a final stroll around the city, guests check out and meet for a short walk to lunch at the popular Kiosk Restaurant located in the city centre. Its industrial and 'ruin'-like structure provides a unique spot for lunch and some time to reminisce before heading to the airport for their return flight home. This is an example of an itinerary for 30 people. All our itineraries are completely bespoke and subject to suitability and availability.
