Language Computer Corporation (LCC) is a privately-owned company committed to the development of next-generation artificial intelligence technologies. Since 1995, we have provided both government and commercial customers with intelligent, semantically-informed search and discovery software. These tools unlock value by actually understanding the information stored in large collections of text. We are looking for talented Software Engineers with Computer Science or Computer Engineering degrees and Java experience who are US Citizens or Permanent Residents. We are also hiring Research Scientists with PhDs in Natural Language Processing, Computational Linguistics, Machine Learning, or other related fields.

Software Engineer Requirements

xStrong software dev. skills

xWorking knowledge of Java and Linux or an interest to learn

xU.S. Citizen or Perm. Resident Desirable Qualities

xPrevious exposure to Natural language processing (NLP), linguistics, artificial intelligence

xExperience with machine learning or data mining

xStrong math and statistics skills

xIndustry R&D experience

xExperience with non-traditional databases and "big data" (e.g., NoSQL, Lucene, Hadoop)

xOther programming languages: C/C++, Python, Scala, Clojure

xSource code management (e.g. Git, SVN, Mercurial, Bazaar)

xWeb application experience

xExperience with multi-threaded / distributed applications

xUnderstanding of design concerns such as abstraction, modularization, and coupling

Research Scientist Requirements xPh.D in natural language processing (NLP) or a related discipline, such as computational linguistics, machine learning, or artificial intelligence

xTrack record of relevant publications in peer-reviewed conferences and journals

xKnowledge of state-of-the-art methods coupled with the creativity and intelligence to advance it

xLeadership abilities necessary to head projects
