Job Purpose: The Technical Support Assistant is required to support the sales team by specifying appropriate components for systems and troubleshooting technical issues for customers and team pre and post sales
Key
Accountabilities:
Provide technical input to support the sales team.
Answer specific queries for customers and potential customers and interpret specific technical requirements to find solutions.
Carry out the product due diligence process, including an audit of relevant certification, factory requirements and minimum specifications of all new products.
Maintain a good knowledge of the features, specifications and installation of the key products in the product portfolio.
Maintain the product database, recording new specifications and discontinued lines, along with the filing of datasheets and database upkeep.
Troubleshoot technical issues for customers and team pre and post sales.
Assist the Senior Engineer in the preparation of the technical content for proposals and bids and provide support in the assessment of new and evolving products.
Support all sales activities by communicating with clients directly for technical specification issues.
Maintain competence in PV system design, layout, mounting systems, BOS, DC/AC wiring calculation and inverter sizing.
Attend relevant industry training courses to ensure product knowledge is maintained.
Respond to customer enquiries by telephone and email.
Providing administrative support and assistance to account managers.
Manage customer expectation and feedback.
Adhere to quality management systems.
Undertake general office administration.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications Ability to troubleshoot, particularly over the telephone.
Ability to understand and care about customer requirements.
Effective team player and leader Excellent team working skills - ability to contribute and participate with team activities.
Communication – written and verbal Ability to prepare written documents to a very high standard of literacy and
presentation.
Excellent verbal communication skills - able to communicate complex
information and respond to questioning.

requirements and characterise issues.
Interact appropriately with clients, suppliers, etc.
Effective communicator with good telephone manner.
IT Experienced user of Microsoft Word,
Excel and Outlook.
Desirable Criteria
Skills, Experience and Qualifications PV Experience.
Engineering or electrical qualifications i.e. BTECH, B.Eng or HNC/D.
IT Knowledge & Experience with Sketch Up.
