Eagle Sky CDC Implementation Summary for Guests
As guests we want to let you know what we will be doing to help prevent spread of COVID-19 during the summer of 2020. These guidelines are taken form the CDC recommendations for camps reopening and the American Camping Association.
Eagle Sky Camp administration will be in regular contact with campers, parents/legal guardians, staff and vendors. We will continue to provide educational material to staff as it becomes available as well as reeducating through the summer.
The camp website is used as the main communication platform for all non- urgent information. The website will be kept up to date to notifying parents/legal guardians in the case of any changes to camp due to COVID-19.
If there is a positive case of COVID-19 at Eagle Sky, parent/legalguardian will be notified by phone (first) or email (if unable to reach by phone) as soon as possible.
Our camp nurse is avaliable throughout the summer to answer specific medical questions and our administrative staff can answer general questions.
Communication
Wayne County Health Department (WCHD) is the final authority for camp operations this summer. We will seeking guidance from WCHD if there is symptomatic campers/staff or positive cases.
Ultimately, WCHD will collaborate with us to determine on a case-by-case basis whether to quarantine specific individuals or to dismiss or end camp early if there are symptoms of COVID-19 at Eagle Sky.
If there is exposure, we will follow the key CDC suggestions for contact tracing, this includes :

We will extensively train staff on procedures familiarizing them with answers to frequently asked questions and common misconceptions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We will send letters to each family explaining rules and guidelines for campers to follow during their time at camp to minimize the risk of COVID-19 exposure.
We will send prescreening guidelines to families in order to check campers for symptoms in the weeks leading up to their time at camp.
To continue monitoring campers while at camp there will be initial health screenings given to every guest upon arrival.
The result of this initial health screening will determine if the individual is permitted to enter camp or if they will require additional screening and evaluation.
We will do ongoing screening for campers by taking daily temperatures and using a short health questionnaire.
Campers or guests that are at higher risk because of travel will be more closely monitored by temperature checks at every meal.
Health Screening
Identify contacts quickly and insure they do not interact with other campers or staff members.
Communicate with local and state health officials following their guidelines and using their resource to help contact trace.
Notify parents/guardians of any child that is symptomatic as soon as possible.
Notify parents and guardians of any positive cases at Eagle Sky or notify the parents and guardians of a potential exposure in the case that their child has been a close contact.
