INTRODUCTION

This report is prepared for the participants of EyafExpo 2011 to present the summary results of the visitor research carried out during December 1-4, 2011 at Istanbul Expo Center Istanbul- TURKEY.

THE PURPOSE OF THE RESEARCH

The purpose of the research is to determine the demographic characteristics of the visitors along with their general evaluation of the fair.

THE METHODOLOGY

The results of the research are based on the survey carried out face to face by randomly selected 400 visitors distributed equally between the dates and the visiting hours of the fair and the records gathered from the fair entrance forms.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE FAIR INNAUGURATION AND ACTIVITIES

The fair was inaugurated by Aylin Çiftçi – General Director for Services for the Disabled and the Elderly of Ministry of Family and Social Policies, and Metin Şentürk-President of the World Disability Foundation. Activities that visitors and exhibitors attended with interest were organized during the EyafExpo 2011.

A total of 182 company and company representatives have participated in the EyafExpo 2011 from 31 countries. These Countries were;

Professional visitors from 8 cities in Turkey visited EYAFEXPO 2011. Transportation expenses cover by organization committee. These Cities were; Ankara, İzmir, Bursa, Çorum, Gaziantep, Adana, Lefkoşa and Kayseri.

SPECIAL SERVICES

About 4320 disabled people came to the fair from their homes with the special cars provided by organization team, also ring buses are used to carry visitors from

Istanbul Expo Center subway station to the fair venue. Conference program held during the fair by free of charge.

15 disabled people found new job by attending the career program held during the fair.

Large number of advertisements and news about the fair has been published on newspapers and magazines. Fair invitations also distributed as an insert in the main magazines of the industry.

E-bulletins and advertisements have been sent to 45000 e-mail addresses, until Fair starting dates.

Invitations and advertisements have been forwarded to Chambers of Commerce and Industry to distribute their members.

Fair invitations has been sent by postal and cargo to sector-specific companies throughout Turkey.
