Overview

IBM InfoSphere QualityStage product modules can help your organization derive more value from the complex, heterogeneous information spread across your systems. The effectiveness of this information depends on the quality of data driving the systems and business processes.

Organizations are unable to remain competitive without the ability to have accurate, concise information to drive decisions and interact with customers and business partners. The concept of trusted information makes a comprehensive approach to data quality necessary.

IBM InfoSphere QualityStage Modules V8.1 enable you to standardize, verify, correct, and enhance international address information. For detailed information regarding the specific functions these modules provide to users of IBM InfoSphere QualityStage, refer to Software Announcement 207-097, dated May 08, 2007.

Upgrades, migrations, and trade-ups

Existing QualityStage customers who are using the Address Verification Interface solution are eligible to upgrade the module interface and continue to receive updates to postal authority data in accordance with their current, active fixed-term license for the address locality packages.

Existing WAVES customers need to upgrade to this new product module when they upgrade to Version 8 of QualityStage. Note that customers will be subject to an increased price because these new modules contain new functions, coverage, and improved accuracy of address data.

Description

IBM InfoSphere QualityStage modules enable you to standardize, verify, correct, and enhance international address information. Additional modules for verifying and certifying the accuracy of address information can help you receive postal discounts by enabling your eligibility in certification programs with the United States Postal Service, the Canada Post, and the Australia Post. Participation in these certification programs grants significant discounts to organizations that produce highly accurate addresses. Businesses that depend on direct mailings can receive significant discounts, helping to build a strong case for return on investment.

IBM InfoSphere QualityStage Address Verification Interface V8.1 provides comprehensive address parsing, standardization, and validation. It is available in selected packages against postal reference files for 240 countries and territories.

IBM InfoSphere QualityStage Module for DPID V8.1 provides Australian Post-certified address verification and enhancement for Australian addresses. This module meets all of the requirements of the Address Matching Approval System (AMAS), allowing you to qualify for Australian postal discounts. InfoSphere QualityStage Module for DPID ensures the completeness, consistency, and validity of critical Australian address information in corporate databases.

IBM InfoSphere QualityStage Module for SERP V8.1 provides Canada Post-certified address verification and enhancement for Canadian addresses. This module ensures the completeness, consistency, and validity of critical Canadian address information in corporate databases.

Developed to work with QualityStage V8.0, QualityStage Module for CASS Cycle L V8.0 may also be used with InfoSphere QualityStage V8.1. A technote explaining how it can be used with Version 8.1 will be issued separately.

IPLA and Subscription and Support considerations

IPLA licenses can be transferred from one machine to another within, but not limited to an enterprise. You may aggregate the capacity for all the processors the product is operated on to achieve a more economic price. This will result in a single Proof of Entitlement (PoE). It is your responsibility to manage the distribution of Value Units within the limits of the entitlement of the product license.

Subscription and Support must cover the same capacity as the product license entitlement.

Subscription and Support will be available in the country in which the agreement is made.

Available training offerings include client on-site training, public training at IBM facilities, and remote learning via FlexLearning.
