Verifying Communication
https://redpark.com/lightning-serialpower-cable-l4-db9pv/
1.Find the amp (amplifier) serial port or the extension cord from the amp serial port.
2.Plug the serial end of the RedPark cable into the serial port/
extension cord. Two bits on the sides may need to be un- screwed in order to plug-in.
3.Connect the RedPark cable to a power outlet.
4.Open FabPro on the iPad and log in.
5. Connect the lightning end of the RedPark cable into the iPad.
6. This should give a quick pop-up on the bottom that says:
Connected to machine with serial number: <Custom machine serial number>
If this message does not appear, communication has not been established. Try unplugging and re-connecting the RedPark cable into the iPad.
A way to check if you are connected to a saved machine is:
1. Enter a Cut stage and expand the Nesting area on the right side.
2. Make sure the Machine toggle is on.
3. Check there is a Settings icon to the right of the Push/Pull toggle.
• Will only be visible if connected to a saved machine for given stage.
Troubleshooting
• Make sure the machine meets the version requirements

• Close, re-open and re-login to the app. Remove, re-add your user.
• Make sure the lightning cable is no longer than 3ft. Otherwise the signal will be lost and the iPad will not be able to communicate with the machine.
• TigerStop ONLY: If you are using an extension cable other than the TigerStop RS232 Extender R, it may not work.
FabPro App Functionality and Usage
The following sections assume the above steps have been completed and com- munication has been verified between the machine and the app.
Saving a New machine to a Stage in FabPro
To use a machine at a given stage from within the app, it must first be added/assigned to that stage. To use at multiple stages, this process must be repeated for each stage.
In FabPro, the user logged in will need to have permission to add/edit machine settings, the permission is called !Edit TigerStop settings”.
1. From the right panel of the FabPro App, select the stage the machine will be connected to, expand Nesting, and toggle the Machine toggle to on.
2. An alert will appear asking to add the machine - click !Yes”
3. In the following screen:
◦
Enter a name◦

Getting Help from Within FabPro
• SalesIQ
◦
Open SalesIQ by clicking on the blue chat icon on the bottom left of the screen.◦
Click the MSUITE icon◦
Enter a question and click the send button on the bottom right to send it to Support.◦
Someone from the team will respond shortly.Nesting
• In the right panel, enter stage, then select material and size.
• Toggle head and tail cut if they should be included in the nest. Both are "off" by default.
◦
If tail cut is less than the machine"s min length setting, it will still be set to the min length value.• Enter the stock length. If a length is not entered, it will default to the connected ma- chine"s max length. For lengths that are not full feet, follow the format below:
◦
For 5' 4 2/3" type: 5 4 2 3◦
For 2' 6" type: 2 6◦
For 6" type: 0 6• Click !Nest”.
Note: Once nested, a few items will be locked until the nest is broken.
• Left panel filters
• Machine Settings
• Hamburger Menu
To make changes on any of these items, complete or cancel the nest.
IMPORTANT: As you go through the nest, it will auto-complete the previous cut. So if I tap cut 1 and then cut 2, when I tap cut 2, it will complete cut 1.
Speed Note: If the left panel filters are not used to filter to Job/Package/Drawing and the app attempts to nest a large number of cuts with varying lengths, the app may take a while to re- spond and find the best nest. To avoid this scenario, use the left panel filtering.
TigerStop AutoSaw
As of v2.2.10.28, the FabPro app now supports cycling the auto saw as it completes cuts. For it to work with the app, it must:
• Be a TigerSaw
• Have the Full Auto enable code - if you aren’t sure about this, test to see if the Semi- Auto and Auto toggle is visible in the nesting area once you map it to a stage.
If you connect a TigerSaw that meets these requirements, the app will list several saw specific settings below the usual settings. It will also show a toggle for setting it to Semi-Auto or Auto. By default, it will be set to Semi-Auto.
• Semi-Auto - When you tap a cut it will move the cut length as usual and then cycle the saw blade.
• Auto - When you tap the first cut in the nest, it will move the cut length as usual and then cycle the blade. Then it will look for the next non-complete cut in the nest and re- peat this process until it completes all cuts in the nest. Basically, once you tap the first cut in the nest it will auto go through all of the cuts in the nest.
You can stop this at any time by tapping the pause button. If the positioiner is moving at that time, it will stop it. If the saw blade is cycling, it will likewise appropriately stop it.
Note: This has not been tested in combination with the Pull setting.
IMPORTANT: If you have mapped a TigerSaw to a stage while using a version of the app older than v2.2.10.28, the app will not have saved the relevant information to FabPro to know that it is a TigerSaw. As such, if you encounter any issues setting it up, please reach out to us.
Nesting Logic
• Clicking nest will present only the cuts filtered to your selection that will have the least amount of scrap and whose last cut is greater than min length.
• Kerf is accounted for based on the machine kerf setting.
• After you complete a nest, it will ask if you want to re-nest. If you click yes, it will try to find the next best nest based on your filters. Simply click cancel to exit if you are done.
Machine Movement
• Clicking “Nest” will move the positioner to the entered length.
• After tapping the first cut, any row you tap/select (except the tail cut row) will move the machine the length of the cut.
• Move it back by tapping the row again (deselecting) or hitting the pause button.
◦
Note: If using a RazorGage this will trigger a !stall” condition and will require you to use the machine"s screen to clear it by pressing “OK”.• Tapping the next cut will mark the previously selected cut as complete. Once the last cut has been completed, hit the complete button.
Safety Note: When moving to a position, machine may move faster than expected. Prior to clicking !Nest” make sure there is nothing blocking it (especially no cables) and the iPad and RedPark cable are in a safe location outside of its movement path.
Note: If the tail cut switch is not toggled !on” and completing the last cut would require the ma- chine to move past the min length, it will instead move just enough to cut off the scrap, leaving the last cut on the other side of the table.
Note: Although the nested cut list can be filtered on any column, be aware of what column you are filtering on to not get unexpected results. (Ex. Head cut being the last cut left in the list)
FabPro Zebra Printer
Currently Zebra ZD420D label printer is supported. Select printer by name and after connecting, it will print labels on cut start. After initial connection, if the same printer is found, app will at- tempt to connect via Bluetooth.
Additional Required Hardware
• Zebra ZD420D 300 DPI
• 3 x 1 labels
When connecting, make sure no other device is connected to the printer and pair the printer to the iPad when prompted.
Initial Printer Connection
1. Make sure you are within proximity of the printer you wish to connect to and start the app.
Make sure you are NOT connected to a machine for this part.
2. Login, enter a cut stage, and click the printer icon on the top of the right panel. This will bring up a menu for a printer, dpi, and the name of the label that will be used.
3. Wait for a bit while the spinner on the top right of the menu spins. (While it is spinning, it is scanning for devices, when it stops, it updates the list with what it found.) You may need to close and re-open the menu a couple times until you start seeing different serial numbers/names of nearby Bluetooth devices. You should see the serial number of the printer, something like (D2J8900999). Click on it.
4. Give it a second and select !Pair” when it asks to pair the printer to the iOS device.
5. Before you close the menu, select the dpi of the printer, default is set to 300. If you do not know the dpi, if the dpi of your printer is not listed in the app, or what you see below does not match what you see when you open your printer, contact us.
Note: To stop the app from printing labels on cut start, tap the printer icon, open the printer sec- tion and tap the selected printer row. This will disconnect the app from that printer.
Important Note
: If you have trouble getting the printer serial number to show up in the list, check other iPads that have been used with it, open the Settings app and if that printer is listed under the Bluetooth section, tap it and click Forget.
