NTRODUCTION

OVERVIEW

Andrews, Hammock & Powell, Inc. is a firm of mechanical and electrical engineers working together to serve the interests and needs of our clients. As a mechanical/electrical consulting engineering firm with experience in hundreds of industrial facility projects, we believe we have the resources and experience necessary to

successfully complete this project. We have maintained an excellent working relationship with our industrial client=s. For every

assignment, we endeavor to achieve design excellence. At Andrews, Hammock, & Powell, Inc. we believe the key to

productive design stems from the Principals’ personal involvement in the design of every project. Accordingly, we have structured our firm’s size and areas of practice to achieve that goal. We have developed an excellent working relationship with many of our clients over the years. As a result, our practice has grown through repeat work and referrals from past clients. The dedicated efforts of our skilled engineers, designers, CADD operators, and support personnel allow us to provide our clients with a single source of responsibility for all their mechanical and electrical engineering needs. We are confident we have the staff and experience necessary to provide the solutions you need.

SERVICES

Andrews, Hammock, & Powell, Inc., as a full service mechanical and electrical engineering firm located in Macon, Georgia, offers the following design and construction administration services to our clients:

Plumbing: Both conventional plumbing systems and a full range of industrial piping systems.

Fire Protection:

Wet/dry sprinkler systems and special hazards.

HVAC: The full range of HVAC system design for governmental, medical, educational, institutional, commercial and specialized industrial systems.

Electrical: Indoor and outdoor lighting, primary power distribution,

telephone, computer, intercom, fire alarm and all other electrical systems.

Construction Administration:

Our construction administration department insures the

construction materials and workmanship comply with the contract documents. This department expedites submittal reviews,

answers to requests for information (RFI’s) and change order review and approval to keep the construction moving.

MISSION

STATEMENT

Our Mission is to develop quality designs that are appropriate to the client's needs, budget and schedule. We listen to the client and develop the design to meet their specific requirements.

CADD

CAPABILITIES

We currently use Bentley MicroStation V8i on Pentium

workstations. All our CADD, engineering and word processing workstations are networked with a Windows network. This offers our clients a finished product that is designed with quality, speed and is easily adaptable to future changes. Our construction documents can be provided in AutoCad (.DWG), MicroStation (.DGN) or Adobe (.PDF) formats, plot files and PDF documents. Drawings can be delivered instantaneously to the appropriate parties via e-mail.

Andrews, Hammock and Powell, Inc. (AH&P) offers full in-house services in the fields of Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Project Management. Typical areas of practice at AH&P is listed below:

Industrial Engineering:

Process piping systems including air, high pressure water, steam, hydraulic, vacuum, deionized water, acid waste and dilution, food grade process piping, etc. Conventional plumbing systems.

Industrial process controls including programmable logic controllers (PLC) and conventional electric controls. We have utilized both conventional and PLC's to interlock industrial equipment and accessories to develop an integrated process control system. Our experience includes development of control schemes for conveyers (for process and packaging) and critical process equipment that is a part of a continuous industrial production operation.

Industrial ventilation including capture of high heat producing loads in air conditioned environments.

Energy management and controls systems including direct digital control (DDC) systems.

Special filtration systems for eliminating oil mist and contaminate particulates (for protection of personnel and equipment).

Power distribution for large and small industrial motors and machines. Generation of electrical power from alternate fuel sources including diesel and natural gas for emergency and peak shaving purposes.

Plant lighting including specific task lighting utilizing energy efficient sources.
